I definately support this. Theres already flaming going on so why dont we restrict it to its own section. I'm tired of seeing half the threads on the first page of off-topic all being political.

Why temporarily?
I think there should be a full time forum for it, considering around 1/2 of the threads in Off-Topic are of some sort of Political debate.
It should be banned period.
Why? We're a democratic nation and we're supposedly free.. we should encourage discussion amongst our people. I've actually learned quite a bit from some of the topics. It's a matter of skipping over the ignorant posts and replying only to those who wish to maintain a mature debate.
The topics discuss are rarely black and white, so it's to be expected such diverse opinions. I welcome them.

A seperate political forum is likely a good idea. Then you know what to expect when you go in.

Scrap off topic all together this way we can get rid of the riff raff that pollutes this site cuz they're not here to find or make any deals that's for sure

But the board is not democratic. It's Derek's board, and he's pretty much an autocrat so what he says goes.
Personally I think all religious and political discussion should be banned.

Too many sub-forums will just result in spam. The whole political warfare thing is over with. Let's just say its a fad or bandwagon everyone jumped on because of the election but now it's over so between now and the next election it is "no longer cool" to be posting politics threads. *cough*[fags]*cough*

I dont know about that. Asim and hagbard seem to constantly pepper the boards with how US is being a big bad bully.
