Every weekend may be to much. But Im in my early 30's and still go otu occasionaly. And when I mean occasionaly maybe once every few months when friends are in town, etc.

But if your 40 and still in clubs all the time, you need a new place to go

Clubs aren't just for kids, they're for a certain type of person living a certain type of lifestyle, be it 19, 25, 35, 45...

Any guy who is young and pissed about older guys at a club is only pissed out of jealousy. Because the older guy WILL get the girls before you do.

also depends on kind of club as well.

a lot of 40 smth goto clubs, just usually not the same types of clubs as 20smths. there are a lot of clubs for older people and they are usually the more classy ones that costs more for everything as well ;)

another thing,

i find that only a portion of guys like to goto clubs.. and they're the frequent ones

but for females, almost 90% of them goes to clubs. and a large percentage of that are frequent go-ers too.

You afraid that you won't be able to compete against a 40 year old?

as a 40-something year old female, I can say I think it's fine if 40 year old men to to clubs.

I don't know why anybody would need to do it every weekend though.

Last time I was in a club, they checked to see if you were old enough - not young enough ;)

I'm in my 50's and I still go to night clubs but I find that my plastic hip can't keep up with me. That's right, true playa for real.

P.S. I have to use my cane to beat the women off of me sometimes.

One of my friends os 34 and he still goes to clubs every weekend!
He works as a DJ!
not in a "pick up bar", but at lounges and electronic music nights.

Also, I was seeing someone who was a DJ a while back, and was not single and still went out every weekend almost.

It just depends what you are going out for...
I don't go to clubs or bars to get pissd and pick up guys.
I usually go to hang out with friends- guys and girls and just listen to music and eat.

I know 70 year olds who still go to "clubs" and go dancing!
maybe not to a teen club, but to a nice lounge for drinks maybe.

I also don't see anything wrong with going out whithout the person you are seeing. As long as you are not going to "pick up" and just going to chill.
You would think the person you were seeing would at least be a bit trusting.

Then again, I do have issues with the "cougars" who are 40 years old and go out and act all skanky.......they are just way too annoying.- yet funny

Depends what club. Seeing 40 year olds and alot older men at the Guvernmetn for Spin Saturdays (trance/house) is quite a common occurance. Its all good though, they just there to enjoy the music while on their happy medication...

If the 40 year old man is going to a club that has a young crowd in it, I think it'd be a bit creepy, and if he was just standing there, I know the bouncers would escort him out.

If the 40 year old man is going to a place to pick up, dance, drink and have a good time, why not? As long as he's in the right place and having fun, I don't see an issue.

.. perfect definition for Viva, it's all ages. Though the old people aren't looking at the younger kids, they are looking at the light strobes.
