Listen up. How many of you feel a lot of Asian girls don't find you attractive???
Be honest.

I personally feel a lot of animosity from Asian women sometimes in life. Such incidents of disrespect and rude comments usually happen when they are with their hunky White boyfriends, in Chinese supermarkets when you are giving her the money, and even passing them by on the streets!!!

On another note. I have a little niece who feels ugly about herself even though she is pretty. She doesn't feel her straight black hair is good compared to "White people's hair" and feels her "flat" nose is ugly. She's only eleven and said she wants to get a nose job so White boys can like her and for the "dirty Oriental boys" to leave her alone. I asked her if she thinks "I'M" ugly and she said if i was lighter skin i could probably be "cute" lol. She's funny. She also has the most beautiful eyes i've ever seen kind of like my daughters (you know the slanted eyes you would find on Amerie or Kimora Lee Simmons or some South Asian or Latin women and Black women)

I'm Chinese and I don't have an European facial structure and I have a "flat" nose.

I don't feel I'm ugly. I'm perfectly happy the way I am because I am secure in who I am. I understand that looks make a difference in society, whether it be with women or job promotion. I don't use my looks as a crutch to explain why some girl won't go out with me or why I didn't get a promotion.

Besides, good looks will only get you so far in life if you play your cards right. It is your ability that counts.

I think its all a matter of culture. I know "white guys" who get action - but not every week like on TV. I know many asian guys who would not demoralize themselves like that. To them, it's wrong to get action with strangers. To each his own.

I know asian guys that are totally hot and they even look asian. And THAT is surprising to ME. I grew up in a 'white town' where the asian population was probably less than 2000. I never found an asian guy attractive until university (Club DC at U Waterloo).

Are you inundated (sp?) with white people? Like your niece saying that about herself - is REALLY bad. You must be a totally white community for her to think that of herself. I'll admit I did the same to some degree when I was in HIGHSCHOOL and had normal teenage issues. But when you're 11?!?

Yes, people pick up messages and values from their society. If you're living on Mars, you'd have a taste for Martian beauty. People pick up prejudices that are irrational, and they are really hard to get rid of. If you expect people to change, then you will always be disappointed because you do not control people's behaviour. You can only control your reaction to people. It is natural to be upset at other people's tastes. But at the end of the day, the only person's opinion that counts is what you think of yourself. If your happiness depends on someone else's reaction to you, you will never be happy. But you know what, you gotta feel good about yourself to be attractive, who cares about what the random girls thinks or says. There's some bad breed in every race, just leave them alone. Ying Yang when did i "demand" Asian women to get on their knee's and bow towards me??? stop flipping putting words into my mouth dude.

I could care less who an Asian woman dates, she could date Michael Jackson for all i care. Its only when they start disrespecting people like me and trying to get their boyfriends to insult us along side them that gets to me. Or coming right up to my face and start kissing with passion while i work. That irritates me.

Or what also pisses me off is when they date a White guy/Black guy solely for their skin colour. Simply by being White/Black gives them the merit to date them. Yes, apparently, some (a lot) Vietnamese do not like Chinese.

They have a grudge against Chinese (war and Chinese domination in Vietnam a long time ago).

Similar to the Japanese having a grudge against the Chinese (Chinese domination/racism) and the Chinese having a grudge against the Japanese (war).

Some Koreans also don't like Chinese (war/communism/racism).
Some Filipinos and Indonesians don't like Chinese (racism).

Cool. I've read similar research like this in the past too. I think Hollywood and film/media has a lot to do with the way the portray certain people. It might sound of less importance but, remember a lot of people are often influenced by what movies and television tells them.

I on the other hand along with a select few take my time out to study, read, and discuss taboo topics such as racism, discrimination, hate, etc etc. Why such topics are taboo i don't know.
Its like the minute you are an Asian man and you mention the discrimination or prejudice you face, the more people ridicule you.

Yes, apparently, some (a lot) Vietnamese do not like Chinese.

They have a grudge against Chinese (war and Chinese domination in Vietnam a long time ago).

Similar to the Japanese having a grudge against the Chinese (Chinese domination/racism) and the Chinese having a grudge against the Japanese (war).

Some Koreans also don't like Chinese (war/communism/racism).
Some Filipinos and Indonesians don't like Chinese (racism).

Chinese should be careful about going to non-Chinese restaurants because your racist waiter might tamper with your food.


I did not say i dislike Chinese people. I just don't like it when non Asians refer to ALL of us as "CHINESE".

I know a lot of Black people go through the same thing as Asians. For example, i see a lot of people assume every Black person they meet as "Jamaicans" when in fact the person could be Trini or Guyanese or Basian. Or even African (Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, etc).

I have nothing against Chinese, because i know somewhere down the line some Vietnamese culture and cuisine were influenced by the CHinese, Thai, India, France, etc etc.

I can respect a guy who is frugal because of his situation (i.e. struggling student paying for his own tuition, single guy living on meager paycheques, just made huge but necessary expense, etc). Go to an Asian church or social group and you'll find plenty of Asian women looking for Asian husbands.

Asian women with non-Asian partners are the minority.

It seems to me that some girls / women of all races are desperate to find a boyfriend/husband. But nobody asks them out.

Also, it's good for men to find brides in Asia or Eastern Europe because some of those women want to come to North America. A lot of white guys look for brides in Asia and Eastern Europe so even white guys feel insecure about finding girlfriends in North America.

If you take care of your physical appearance and your personality, you shouldn't have trouble finding girlfriends.
