oriental drivers: whats the problem?

theres A LOT or oriental people in my area, seeing as ive lived my whole life right beside the university of asia, waterloo campus (in other words university of waterloo)
about 2 or 3 times a week, i find myself getting cut off by other drivers
about 80 to 90% of the time, its an oriental person who is totally oblivious to whats going on.
i mean i could speed up, pull beside them and honk my horn and they wouldnt have a clue to look over

i dont like being prejudice like this, but its what ive experienced ever since i ogt my liscence a good 5 years ago
what id like to know is...why? whats the problem?

Maybe you're just too slow?
That's my main beef with Asian drivers, they drive way too slow and don't follow the flow of traffic (in fact they impede them). I've seen too many of them hit the brake pedal soon as they get near an intersection even though it's still green and nowhere near the yellow.

That's my main beef with Asian drivers, they drive way too slow and don't follow the flow of traffic (in fact they impede them). I've seen too many of them hit the brake pedal soon as they get near an intersection even though it's still green and nowhere near the yellow.

that is mainly because in CHina.. the maximum on cities is usually 30ish km/hr and you have to swerve in and out and be aggressive just to make it somewhere

Just to let you know, the Asians own the road. They drive anyway they want because they can. You should do it as well. Next time I'm in Waterloo, let's go street racing.

There are some people who simply do not know how to drive regardless of their ethnicity. The may be new drivers, FOB (unaccustomed to driving in a new Country), or simply put, just bad drivers.

I think your location (+ population composition) has something to do with your noticing these poor drivers.

In the GTA, I see a rainbow of bad drivers, young and old, male and female. :lol: So I can't comment, any more than that!?!

Due to work, now I drive on the highway everyday, and I've noticed that there are lots of tailgaters out there. I dunno what the deal is with these people. They are not getting where they need to be any faster than the rest of us. Just the other day, somebody tailgating behind me finally decided to get in front of me, so he/she sped up, switched lane and got in front of me, and crashed into the car in front of me. A side observation, tailgaters and speeders are 95% Civics.

I can add africans/indians/chinese to that list too. I think where they come from, they are not lanes on the road so they feel they don't have to signal to change lanes. No courtesy of using the right had lane to drive slow, even if it's empty. They think if they are supposed to turn left the next 10 miles, they're allowed to do 40KPM staying in that left lane. F*** they rest of drivers behind. Some of them don't know what the flashing green is for, they seem to think it's for THEM only to go thru. These people have no road etiquette.

I've seen plenty more non-"african/indian/chinese" people who suck at driving as well.

Maybe because some of the oriental/asian (whichever term you prefer) driving schools (ie. those that teach in their student's native language) aren't as reputable, and may not teach driving as well..

I've seen a few driving instructors (I assume they are - they've got the sign on their car, and they're the only occupant of it..) make really dumb driving decisions..

it's simple really.. if you recall my earlier post.

in China.. the max is 30... and there are no rules to the road except for stopping at a red light.

now.. imagine all that craziness that goes on with that situation.

they come here.. speed limit is 60... it's quite a culture shock because at 30km/h.. not much damamge to the car.. however at 60.. different story.
