Effective as of Thursday February 9th to Wednesday February 22nd 2006.

The flyer that I got in the mail yesterday states that the sale starts this Wednesday actually, Feb 8th, 2006. Could be just in our city, as we have a new store opening...

The owners I think are a little miffed that their location was moved, they had central location, with lots of foot traffic. Now he is on the south side of town, however, right around the corner from me.

The thing that bugs me the most are those people that say "I would never shop there, having to pay for bags, bag your own stuff, etc, etc." then the sale comes and they hoard the good sh*t!

I went first day - it was a zoo, and just got fed up and left.

Went back a week later, not even thinking about the sales, and EVERYTHING was still in stock and the place was wempty. I loaded up at my leisure and laughed at the thought of braving through the hordes again.

HOT!!! HOT!!! HOT!!!

The McCain's Premium Superfries @ $1 is HOT!!!

These usually retail for $1.79 or more.

@ $1, it's HOT.

Also, McCains was distributing $1 off coupons for these fries last year. If you still have some left, you can effectively get these fries for free!

The coupons does have a stipulation of coupon per customer. So I won't get a chance to see the face of the cashier when I walk out with a case of this for free. :D

Also, the OJ is not bad. This week, NF is selling the 2.89 jug of President's Choice OJ for appx $3. I may just wait until Thursday to get the Tropicana version.

i wonder how many ppl actually buy other items not on sale whenever no frills has these sales

DOC SB
Feb 8th, 2006, 11:49 AM
Well, I know the sale starts for everyone else tomorrow. But here in Chatham, we are celebrating the Grand Opening of our store. So, they started the sale a day early. Believe it or not, there is actually a cop out directing traffic on the street and at the intersection of this location. The truly sad part is, we already had the NoFrills, they just moved location!!!

Talk about timing.

Be carefull of what you buy, alot of those $1 deals aren't that great. The are just smaller sizes of regular items at regular prices. A few examples are: Campbell's Chunky soup - 284 ml, the OJ - 946 ml, Jiffy PB - 500 g, Nestle Ice Cream - 450 ml, HD Chips. Those are just some of them.

I know for certain, that Sobey's sells the OJ, Ice Cream - $3.97 for 2L, and Soup - $3/5 for 584 ml cans for cheaper. Just in different sizes!

It's great to be a bargain shopper, it's better to be a CHEAP bargain shopper and know your deals!

It seems like changing the ad to Thursday was a so-so idea, since the flyers come on Thursday, so most people don't know til....Thursday night!

Got plenty of OJ and Chocolate milk and fries....

I think thats all I'm eating for the next two weeks...

Went there at about 2.00 pm at Burnhamthorpe and Creditview (Tony's) No Frills...not much of a crowd there...could even say it was uneventful...sale was "soso".

Used the metrosupersaver coupon for Mccain superfries. Cashier was stunned at how I got it free. She was even more surprised when she saw me take out my duffle bag to put my groceries in there lol...

Well:

At my NF (St Clair west) there were many signs stating that all the dollar items were limited to six per.

In fact they were making periodic announcments on the PA to this affect as well

4 lbs apples for a buck....not to shabby.....very good apples ..eating or cooking. They hold their shape... in baking..cross btween Macs and Red Delish.

ah yes... a year just flew by. Things were slow at the Whitby, Dundas St. east store today. Lots of stock with a limit of 6 per item. It helps that No Frills recently decided to start their flyer on Thursday. The flyers aren't delivered, here in the eastern GTA, until Friday afternoon. Sat. should be a madhouse. (If you live in Oshawa, the Simcoe St. north location is your best bet.)

Whoa, I dropped in for the sale today. I guess I should have eaten before I went in, 'cause everything looked so good!!! HAHAHA!

Few things I picked up;
8lbs of Empire Apples (Great for baking, eating, juicing)
OJ, Cranberry juice,
Italian Rice,
Frozen Pork Back Ribs ($1.99/lb) :-0 [Shocked at the price!],
Catelli Tomato Sauce (I love the sauce and re-use the jars),
and fresh Tomatoes.

All in all, it was pretty busy in there, and they had tons of stock, and they were still stocking. I would hate to go in on Friday or the weekend. I'm sure it'll be a zoo

This is at the Jane/Lawrence No Frills.

I wonder how many people 'over-bought.' The lady in front of me didn't think she was going to buy so much and needed someone from the stor eto help her load her car up. :cheesygri So, yah I'd say this sale has some decent deals judging by everyone's shopping carts!

12 McCain Spicy Fries
3 Minigo
3 Hunts Ketchup
1 Smarties Ice Cream

And I'm going to go get more sometime next week.

Different items had different limits at this store. Most of the items had a limit of either 6 or 12.

We went after dinner tonight and spent $120. No limits in Niagara Falls. Lots of stock. We'll drop in 2 or 3 more times before the sale is over. One of the unadvertised specials in Niagara Falls is Oreo's. A 550 gr bag for $1.97, that's cheaper than no name cookies!

Went to the No Frills at Woodbine / Hwy 7 around 5 PM earlier today. The crowds just started to roll in, but you could still get around the aisles without much trouble and the checkout line was just one person ahead of me.

However, this location has a 4 per person limit on the Hot Stuffs, and only had Fried Chicken variety of the Michelina's Comfort Classics. I also grabbed the last Dole Classic Iceberg Salad Mix.

Came out with about 30 bucks worth of stuff, and will probably go again before the sale's out (to a different location).
