I don't think (m)any stores sell them anymore, i had 3 of them and loved them, i still have 10 blank disks. I haven't seen them recently, try ebay, you could probably get one cheap.

well my iriver ihp-120 has a line in as well. i wasnt talking about sites selling them, as i am sure there are quite a few that still do, i was talking about being able to walk into best buy or future shop (in your original post) or many other electronic stores for that matter and being able to buy as being not very likely.

like which ones? Hi-MDs are really popular with concert recorders....
and the quality of the recordings are good...
what would be equivilent in quality with a Mic line in... flash based players?
i would assume they are very expensive..

i also have one that is sitting in my closet gathering dust. Not to mention I have many blank Mini-Discs, hardly used.
I will check the model number when I get home. If you are serious about buying, let me know.

I've got a Sony MZ-N505... No MIC in, but Line in.
http://minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-N505.html
Never use it anymore. Decent shape, signs of usage with some dust in the LCD but it worked fine last time I used it. $25 shipped OBO. No headphones, but I think I have everything else that came with it. Can take pics if needed.

Last time that I went (about a month ago) Costco was selling black MZ-NE410's. They were pretty cheap as well, around $60 I believe, but then again, the MZ-NE410 is the most basic NetMD.

I just bought an NE410 off ebay for under $20 US, after shipping. I've been bidding on almost every MD recorder for almost three weeks to be able to get this deal (in no hurry :) ). That model is good enough for me..I have two older recorders that have mic/line in already, so I just needed the NE410 for titling the discs from the computer.
Best bet is to see if anybody is selling locally, and pay cash to save on shipping.
