There was a guy in the original series back when it was really hot and on in prime time with Regis who blew the $100 question. It was "What did Jack Horner pull out of the pie after sticking his thumb in it?" The guy answered "Blackbird" which wasn't that horrible considering that another rhyme mentions blackbirds baked in a pie. However, what really made him stupid was the audience murmur when he answered it, Regis asking if he was sure - basically doing whatever he could do to get him to change his mind without telling him it was a wrong answer and the guy still ignoring it and saying final answer.
