I'm a skeptic, i think these guys are in for money, but whatever the case, decide for yourself, pretty long read, if you have time.

The two words on there are Kanji / Chinese characters. The first is death/die, the second is life. And it sounds pretty scary.

regardless if it IS or ISN'T haunted, why would anyone buy this thing??

The orbs look like a white substance on the lens of the camera that's taking the picture, blurred by the camera focusing on the box. And maybe, just maybe, the guy is reselling it because he realized he paid $100 for nothing.

All you non-believers, there's only one way to find out if it's fact or a scam, is to actually have it in your own possession.

This reminds me of the haunted teddy bear some guy was trying to get rid of on eBay a while back. He had a running commentary, updating his auction everyday about strange things that were happening to him, his family, and home because of the bear. Seemed like a lot of work to sell a stuffed bear. I have to admit, I am intrigued by the stories behind these auctions, but would never bid $150 USD on a wooden box.

Yeah, this is RDF after all. Gotta find the lowest prices on your haunted memorabilia.

I wouldn't bid on it either for both skeptic and non-skeptic reasons -- Price and bad luck surrounding the box.
The first story almost sounds a little wannabe Stephen King'ish...
I finally heard my name being screamed by my wife! I ran around the side of the house threw myself through our bedroom window, to find the box sitting on the bed and my wife literally wrapped up in a blanket cocoon, kicking and screaming to get out. I threw the box out the window and tore the blankets off of my wife. I went back outside, grabbed the box, and took it to our storage, where it sits today.

u gotta admit the story is great and almost makes the whole thing seem plausable.

This is sooo scary.
I remember watching a commercial on city tv, it was a recap on breakfeast television. A guy came in and told the lady to think one of the tunes in her head and then to open this box. It started to play the tune in her head and she was surprize. Then the guy said thats because the box is posses. She quicky shut the box.
Anways.... anybody in redflag brave enought to bid on the box?

Anways.... anybody in redflag brave enought to bid on the box?
Can someone explain why anyone would bid on it in the first place? I mean there are two possible scenarios.
1) it isn't possessed, you got ripped off.
2) it is possessed, your life becomes hell.
What's the deal? Who'd want either one?
I can understand someone bidding on it only if they were a paranormal investigator or something.

True, theres 38 bids on it already with 4 days left.
I would like a friendly ghost like casper or sum ***** like that. Maybe i will be then.
Does anybody have pictures from the original seller? The links are broken or its just my computer. Nevermind got it fixed.

Reminds me of the haunted jar that was on ebay a while ago.
The haunted jar had some freaky pictures. Then there was the one with the haunted picture of the children. That one was freaky because they had a motion camera that picked up the image of a boy climbing out of the photo...

1. Both sellers are bad at spelling and grammar.
2. The photos from both sellers have had ridiculous photoshopping done to them. HellooooOOOoo, does anyone watch "Most Haunted" on W network? Orbs don't look two dimensional like that, and that mysterious white blob does not look "smokey" enough like the "real" ones.
3. Anyone who bids on the box should make their bid "$44.44" or something, so that they can throw in some "Japanese feng shui" to go along with the "Japanese symbols".
4. Interesting how no one talks about what their nightmare was about. I mean, did it involve a cat fight or anything? There sure was a cat theme in both stories.
5. It would make for a great box to put your anime p0rn in. Or, Hello Kitty vibrator, now you have a home.
6. Quote: "The box is from Japan and seems to be decent quality contruction. I don't know how old it is but I don't think it's an antique." Read: The box is from Japan, but it's "made in Taiwan", circa 2001. Don't bother bringing it to the Antiques Roadshow to get a real expert to tell you this box is a piece of crap and that you paid too much for it.
7. I have a bridge to sell you. It's haunted too!
8. Quote: "In the corner of the box was a very large tooth. It had to be 10 times larger than a human tooth." Read: chicken bone.

And the seller would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you meddling kids!

Gee, how hard is it to ask anyone who knows Japanese/Chinese to find out what the words say? Plus nothing really bad happened after he opened the box, why not take a picture of what's inside?
Nice story though :P

Just stating the truth, if you aint for sure about something just gotta experience it for yourself to know for sure. So please don't be talkin @#$% if you got nothing better to say about other's opinion.
