I'm getting a great deal on the 2006 Mercedes-Benz B200. My boss knows a manager at a MB dealership. For about $270 a month (leasing, taxes included), I get all the options and a kitchen sink.

I have never seen the car, other than on the MB website. Has anyone had a test drive with this car or know anything about it?

How much is the total price if you were to buy it with cash. I would not loook at from the monthly 'lease' payment perspective only,

What is the term, rate, annual km allowance, buyback option etc.

The car is a small compact class. People use to see MB as a luxury brand here in NA and an economy class vehicle like B or A Klasse from Benz seem funny for them.

How is the warranty like? 80,000 km 4-5 years? Maintenance included?

They have a promo on now for 327/ month, with abotu 3000 down. lease. But ya it's not alot of car for what you get, and it';s FWD!. I thought about getitng it too. I would get a base one, all the bells and whistles really up the price and for "leather" u only get 2 strips of leather on the seat, and middle is still clothe, they call it the "sport" seats.

The sales wanted me to test drive, but maybe go back when i am serious about it.

What a Mercedes with no leather? That's the first I've heard although I don't know anything about this car.

All I've been told is that it's a 'wannabe' Mercedes to lure people into the segment that normally wouldn't or couldn't afford the higher end models.

The C classs coupe doens't have leather either, and the basic C220 back in the days do'nt have it either.

But ya the B class is an attempt by MB to get a bigger market share. There are even smaller cars the A class in europe that they haven't introduced yet but probably won't.

The B is a pretty practical car, if you are a practical person, but also want to have the MB badge.

The A class' proportions appear better...the B looks...weird

The B is fairly roomy...probably comparable in cargo space to a matrix or audi A3

PT Cruiser is based on a Neon, no way in hell would mercedes use that platform for it's cars.

I think it's really the matrix / Pontiac Vibe.

I think it's really the matrix / Pontiac Vibe.

It's based on a stretched A-class platform.

I think it's ugly.

Mercedes don't drive very well, all the ones I've driven handles like a boat compared to cars like BMW, Audi, Lexus, Subaru, porsche etc. The "fun" factor is not even there, also notabily absent is the reliability and service people usually associate Mercedes with.
