I got a dvd video file that is over the size of a single layer dvd and I want to make an image of it so that I can shrink it down so it fits on a normal dvd.

whats the extension of it

1)if its regular video_ts files, like vobs etc, make it a img burn to your hdd with nero or any any other software that allows u to make a image of files, like winimage for example

2)then mount it with daemon or any other virtual cd prog

3)then use dvdshrink to compress it just a bit

if its already in a iso/img/bin/whatever image file, go to step 2)+3)

Its ain one of those video_TS folders. Which programs are good for making images of the video_TS files that are already on my computer? I tried to use alcohol 120% but it only allows making it from the drives.

If you have DVD shrink, it can copy directly onto 4.7Gb DVD's and will just crop off the extras and the extraneous subtitles (you get to configure this) but it won't need daemon or anything else.
