I have the Daytek 37" LCD - and it is a very nice TV. I have connected my computer using DVI-DVI to the TV, and set the resolution to 1368x768. The maximum resolution supported by the TV is 1366x768 - two pixels less than the setup in ATI Control Panel. At this resolution things are very crisp and nice on the TV. I am using Radeon 8500. I have also tested this with a ViewSonic 27" LCD, and things were fine.

When playing games - Bejeweled for example - I sometimes get a black screen show up while playing. This blank screen then dissapears after about one second. This black screen shows up randomly. I also noticed that after the screen return back to normal, in the upper right corner it displays me the status of the connection: DVI / 1024x768

Also inside my ATI Control Panel, the TV shows up as being able to go up to 1024x768 and it is identified at LTV1280M1D. I wonder whether I can setup the TV to a higher resolution (and not the 1024x768, which I pressume it may be the default one).

Any suggestions as to what I may have to do to eliminate this screen. Thank you.

I used to have the same problem with intermitent black screen on my LCD but the culprit was passing componenet through my reciever... removed the 'middle' man and all was good. Hope you figure out yours soon! Sucks when you spend some serious coin and it doesn't work out as intended.

Thank you sleepyguy for the response.

In this case I am running DVI-D from the videocard directly to the TV itself.
