I must say, it looks really nice!

Kinda like outlook, with drag and drop features. I haven't been able to get attachments to drag and drop though :( That would be a cool feature.

nice finally a beta that is tested by the Americans first to get rid of the bugs before it comes to Canadians... wonder how many bugs they will miss though before we point them out

is the spam reporting system any less buggy then it was with the old interface. I consantly (2-3 real messages/day) sent to the bulk folder. Even after repeately flaging them as "not spam"

It launched today for a portion of Rogers mail subscribers as well...

I'm getting reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal antsy.

No, I use @yahoo.ca and I got into the beta.

Here's a screenshot of it in action.

yea, i;ve been using it for more than a month, why cant i use my current username and have it end in .ca?

i dont know if they changed it now but they were using the same name database as the .com so you coulnt go

*EXMAPLE
rfd@yahoo.com and have a rfd@yahoo.ca
*EXAMPLE
which sucks, maybe they changed it now, i dont know

unless that's your real email address., and you want super spam...i'd edit your account.

You've NEVER been able to do that my friend. The endings are completely different database servers or whatever you call it. And yet, you CAN'T have duplicated usernames with different dot endings, mind you it's because to sign in you ONLY NEED the username....so if they allowed duplicate usernames for EACH of the DOTS...then to sign in you'd need to enter the whole email to sign in...not to mention-I'd venture a guess-a whole slew of other sorts of server modifications which would create massive insanity.

okay back to live beta!

What's up with calendar, and notes, and photo uploader not being ironed out yet? As in you need to go back to normal yahoo to user them :(

Another thing I noticed that I don't like is: I've turned off spam-opting to manually configure my spam filter. Now that live is being used, I found that it doesn't let me do this anymore, telling me that to set an email as spam I'd have to turn on the filter.

LAST POINT: Unless there's a column I'm missing. Regarding spam, with beta you HAVE to click on the spam email to delete it. Unless you have disabled preview pane-thereby enabling the message to display (and I've become paranoid with even displaying those emails what with these new viruses that activate just by being viewed nowadays)...it stinks.

that sucks!

since it shares the .com username database, the selection is really really low. its hard enough making up a decent username for a yahoo account with the lack of choices left, how are you supposed to make one up for the .ca?

Yahoo anything seems irrelevent these days. Gmail or bust.

EDIT: I'm using Yahoo! Widgets, formerly Konfabulator. In all fairness, I also use Picasso which Google surreptitiously acquired.

wow....I didn't know that was a word....why do you say they did it.....surreptitiously? and it's picasa ;)

Google gets Picasa (http://www.clickz.com/news/article.php/3380451)

Lastly., gmail though freakie deakie....is still very annoying in that it doesn't have folders....but "labels". The novelty of threaded emails hasn't worn off yet...but I can see it being annoying.
