Hi!

I purchased a Canon S2 IS 2 weeks ago (Stapes PM) to replace my Canon A80. Since then, I haven't been able to take a single shot that looked better on the S2 IS than on the A80. With the A80, the whole picture is always clear. With the S2 IS, I'm unable to get clear pictures on all depths. Here's an example (http://xcessiv.net/mustang/Example.jpg). The picture is somewhat clear near the GT crest, but it looks like a 40$ Batman camera if you look at the rear wheel.

What am I doing wrong? It can't be caused by manual parameters (like Tv and Av) because the picture is clear in some parts.

Is the image softness always in the same region? (e.g. the right side?)

No, here's another example (http://xcessiv.net/mustang/Back01.jpg).

The Mustang is clear, but the Porsche front end is wayyyyyy too blurry. :(

That is strange.

I have had no issues with the S1 IS, even using the optical zoom for at least 8-10x.

What mode are you putting the camera into? Are you using the IS feature?

I tried with Auto and P modes and I'm always unable to get clear pictures especially in the edges... Especially when I'm in 1X mode (no zoom at all).
