Hi there, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I am currently with YAK VOIP, and have been for over a year now. I was quite happy with them and then today I received an email that As of May 17 they would not be continuing with my service ( actually their excuse was that they were upgrading their software and the number that I have right now will not be able to switch to their new system as well as I will now be able to use my Phone adapter that I currently have) I think that they have just increased their pricing and this is a way to get people off of their old pricing scheme from before - that was of course cheaper.
I am currently paying $18.99 / month + tax ( cad $) for:
FREE 10 Hours per month for calls to the United States & Canada *
FREE yak Member-to-Member worldwide calling
FREE Virtual VideoPhone
Use Virtual VideoPhone or Phone Adapter to make and receive calls from the same account
Phone Adapter
Choice of public telephone number in areas within the US and Canada where E911 is available
Optional second public telephone number

Call Forwarding, Call Waiting, Call Hold, and Call Transfer
