I hate them. It's a shame that they have to face Buffalo because I hate both teams and would prefer neither of them make it passed the first round. Too bad New York can't beat New Jersey though, hopefully next round New Jersey gets owned.

I always love Bobby Clarke's post game interviews after the Flyers get eliminated. Every year, he always goes on a rant about what a sorry assed team he built, and how his team played like a bunch of overpaid primadonnas. He doesn't have Lindros to flog anymore so he's got to crap on someone else. Looking forward to it. :D

I think he's starting the process of writing it right now.

The Flyers are way too slow for Buffalo. Philadelphia is sort of like a better Maple Leafs team (both are slow).
Buffalo has so much youth and speed, Philly can't handle them.

Flyers are big and slow. And the goaltending. Hitchcock has no faith in Esche. And he can't rely on Nittymaki either. So in the end, Flyers are screwed again!

This series is practically a statement for the new NHL era which speed is a much greater asset these days. The Flyers did well in the regular season because they have some young guys that can fly and kept up with the scoring (they were among the worst GAA for all the playoff teams). The slow defense was constantly exploited. Now that Gagne and company is not on the whole time and they can't bail them out in a short series.
Finally we get to see some fast hockey in the East!!

How they get out of that Game 2 gooning without any fines or suspensions is beyond me. Dirty hit from behind by repeat offender Denis Gauthier and flat out gooning of a non-fighter by Eager. Typical Flyer hockey.

I agree. That hitting from behind crap has got to be addressed. I like how Gauthier was acting like he was the victim when he was issued a 5 minute major for hitting from behind. What a turd. He's a repeat offender who should get a stiff suspension to show the NHL will not tolerate that *****.

Tonight's game is going to be ugly. Some real bad blood between these 2 teams is developing. I hope Hitchcock and Ruff keep up their feud because it always makes for good side-stories in between games. HahA!
There was a story about Primeau possibly coming back for tonight's game because he skated with the club yesterday. The Flyers would have to be pretty desperate to dress Primeau when he still can't see straight. Hitchcock shot down that story really quick.
