Able Auctions is having a pretty crazy hockey liquidation sale right now at their auction site in Coquitlam, BC... it's on until this Saturday.
Full info is at http://ableauctions.ca/hockey75.html
I was in there today and picked up a sweet CCM Blocker and Trapper for $160 (combined total!!) and a new pair of CCM 652 Supertack Goalie Skates for $87! They have tons of sticks, skates, jerseys, gloves, etc... so if you need something check it out... there are some killer deals that you will not find anywhere else! (PS - love my new Cape Breton Screaming Eagles sweatshirt by RBK - $10!)

Is this a regular auction? Or are they just having a set price sale?
Did you see any replacement stick blades?

ya they have TONS of blades... sticks, skates, helmets, gloves... they pretty much have everything... and it is all fixed price. only on from Wednesday-Saturday.... I was really shocked when I walked in... even goalie sticks were 75% off... so a $70 stick was $17.... they have wood sticks, comp sticks... everything is mostly CCM... also some Jofa/Koho.
Not sure where they got all the cargo from... but damn good deals... still kicking myself over the goalie skates... under $90!!

Was just checking on how to get there... their address and the map&driving directions they provide don't match. google maps show their address is at the intersection of Loughheed Hwy & Schoolhouse BUT their driving instructions lead you to Coleman Ave (just off Brunette Ave). These two locations are like 1km apart! Which is it?

they used to be at coleman and lougheed but they are actually at SCHOOLHOUSE and LOUGHEED... it's a warehouse place that used to be a Bargain Castle... it's on the opposite side of Lougheed from Silvercity... if you haven't checked this sale out yet you should... I'm going back tomorrow!

Thanks a lot for posting OP, just got back and found some great deals.
I picked up/found the following:
15" CCM leather gloves for $50 (reg. $200). They only have ugly green/gold colour leather in 14" and 15" CCM or Koho, and some non-leather green/gold 15" for 75% off $180.
CCM Vector V40 RH SR wood/fibreglass stick - $15 They had several CCM/Koho wood sticks to choose from both JR and SR, LH and RH ($15 ea). They aslo had several CCM Vector 100/120 composite sticks for $62.50 (reg. $250). Some JR CCM/Koho shafts were aslo available for $16 (reg. $40).
CCM 1052 M helmet - $44 (reg. $109). The 1052 helmets were slightly used and I could only find size M. Most also include a chrome cage which I removed (extra $7). There were several dozen CCM 852 helmets brand new in boxes. There were also some slighty used high end jofa helmets.
CCM 452 15" shin pads - $10 (all SR shin pads and elbow pads were $10, JR even less). I found several nice looking RBK shin pads but couldn't find matching sets. Several JR and SR pads were still available.
Also picked up a new pair of hockey socks for $2.50 (hundreds of new socks in several styles), and a new garter belt for $1
I didn't look at skates since I recently bought a new pair, but the guy in front of me at the checkout bought a new set of CCM Pro tacks (older model) for $180 after tax. These were probably around $500-600 new. Looked like a big selection of CCM tacks and Vector skates.
I also dug through the shoulder pads. Several new Jofa models, as well as some slightly used jofa, ccm, koho. All 60% off reg. price.
If you go, and are looking for pads, helmets, etc., make sure you give yourself some time since they are all quite mixed up in several large cardboard boxes. I would have also bought elbow pads or better shin pads, but after searching for over an hour for matching pairs, I couldn't find any that I wanted.
They also had signs posted indicating a limit of 2 of each type of item per person. That means each person can only take 2 each of sticks, 2 helmets, 2 pads, 2 jersey's, etc.
Do they have any RH stick blade replacements?
For some reason, I could only find 1 or 2 RH stick blades, while there were several dozen LH blades ($5 ea)
Any hockey stuff for women?
I did notice some women specific gear, including shoulder pads and ccm pelvic protectors.

A lil OT
but...
I've never been to that ableauctions thing on lougheed... is it anygood? or just a big warehouse thing where stuff is auctioned/sold for cheap?
I don't really like those auctions cuz you don't know what's working (more into electronics)
However one time i showed up for one in Vancouver, and they had a complete Studio DJ mixing table for like $20
I should have bought it, but at the time i only had a civic, and no way to tie it down.

Question for anyone who has been there, what kind of jerseys did you see? Replicas or authentics? Are the jerseys numbered with names of players on the back? Or blanks?
Some of my equipment can use some upgrading, like my hockey pants, visor, and helmet.

>:( I really wish I had gone now
Tacks (various models) were $129 or something.
Vector 4.0 (plus a bunch of other models) were $89... but Vector 4.5 did not have a specified price. They were going to charge me $89 but I argued nicely that I spent over 2 hrs looking (it was a big mess) for the right size for these 4.5 because "all other models" were priced at $37.50. Didn't have to argue much for them to give them to me at $37.50.

Don't mean to rub it in for those that didn't get in on this deal, but I was pretty surprised when I got there! the last time i had this much fun was when sportdepot closed down, anybody remember, about 10 years ago?
I picked up two pairs of skates, 2004 model ccm 1152 custom supertacks and ccm 1052 custom supertacks for $125 each, went to cyclone taylor sports to heat mold and sharpen them today. Apparently, the 1152's still retail for $299.99 :D
Thanks op!

Does anyone know if there will be a similar sale soon. If not, does anyone know where to get some cheap gloves from? They'll only be used for ball hockey so I don't need anything too fancy.
thanks!

Sports Exchange on Burrard and 6th has good deals on occasion.
Hockey Shop in Surrey has best selection and good range in prices.
