I thought it was like a chemical "explosion" at some salon. Heard the firetruck going down Steeles.

There was a fire caused by a unit facing the west entrance beside the DVD store. It was like 9/11 inside with everyone running towards the exits thinking there was a widespread fire.

Darren, don't take this the wrong way, but I doubt you will ever be in a situation that comes close to being as bad as 9/11. Unless you were there or lost sombody in the trajedy, no one should be comparing a small shopping complex fire to the utter mindless chaos and destruction during 9/11.
My best friend was in the building right beside the WTT and we were on the phone when the first plane hit, he made it out OK. Unless you've been through it, don't reference it please...respect those who's lives were affected...especially if all you saw were the TV reports and downloaded movies...
Sorry if I've taken your message the wrong way, but it seemed like you were trying to make poor humour about something way worse then a fire at pacific mall....

chillax.. he didnt say it was 9/11....just said the people inside acted like it was 9/11.
ya... 9/11 was bad..but a lot more terrible tragedies has happened, no need to give 9/11 victims any more recongiztion. they are put on the pedestal already when its really not deserved. just because it happened on american soil doesn't make it any more tragic.

I think you misunderstood my intention...I'm not saying that there hasn't been any worse trajedies...i'm not saying that because it was US that it was worse...
Hopefully nobody got hurt in the Pacific Mall incident. If you know anyone that was hurth in any of the recent trajedies than I feel for you, until then you won't know what's it's like to be affected directly...
US soil or Darfur Insurgence, deaths for no reason are illogical and unneccesary. Either way, no need to make references to them....

Threadjack....
Who are you to tell people what they should and shouldn't talk about or write about? So some people died. People die everyday. People talk about the Hiroshima and the holocaust all the time and make comparisons of stupid events to them too, big deal.
This is just as lame as the radio stations that won't play "New Orleans is Sinking" anymore because stupid people get upset or think they are being insensitive.
It happend. Get over it.

Until they post here I'll go with the rumour they're in jail for indecent exposure. Or second degree thong assault. Either way i'm good.

It's open, and business as usual.
The only thing is, that most of the restaurants(or chinese fast food places) on the 2nd floor are closed, since the gas has been turned off. I went to one place, and they were like, "We only have rice, and Cha-Siew(BBQ pork). It's a 'Special'"

wow...both of you have to read the post more closely....
i didn't lose anybody, nor did i say that the 9/11 events was the worst thing to happen in history...
i even apologized if i took his message the wrong way...
i took the original post out of context and tried to respond as objectively as i could...i hope there wasn't any offence taken, but there really isn't use in continuing this thread anymore...
i'm sure Darren is a great guy and didn't mean anything of it...
let's all move on now...
