A credit card problem...

Ok, heres the situation. It's not me btw, but you may not believe me, but whatever :p

Anyways, theres two people, person A, and person B, person A is a 17 year old, person B is a 24 year old elder sister of person A. Actually, I'll call em, Bro and Sis :-0


The bro asks his sister to use her credit card for a small payment for a download site, the sister agrees, so when the brother uses the credit card, it goes through, and he starts downloading. But halfway through, he realized, he put his OWN name instead of his sisters on the CC information. And he is downloading the file which required a payment.

He's confused right now, and has no idea what to do. He hasn't told her sister yet though. Is he in any type of trouble?

Email the webmaster (or whoever). Usually they are understanding about this. Or should be. And stop downloading pr0n with your sister's money :D

dont worry its no big deal, you can usually use it without problems unless it asks for name on card and even then they usually arent cross referenced what is important is the card number, Security Number and the Expiry Date.

I'm amazed it went through. The worst that will happen is that the card account will get flagged and frozen. It is simply a matter of phoning up the CC company and getting it cleared; thats if it gets shut down in the first place.

as far as i know, the name has to match the cardholder's name. if you already put it through like that, then what's the big deal?

Often times it will still go through without problems (even if the name doesn't exactly match).

Ya I don't see a problem if it went through. Techinically the sister could fight it saying it wasn't her etc but she wouldn't want her bro to be charged with credit card fraud. Now he just needs to tell her she's being billed for it so she doesn't fight it.
