Not sure if anyone posted this yet...price is for Linksys Wireless G PCI, USB and notebook card. $47.99 no rebates and no need to price match. Bought a PCI card today for $55.19 after tax and if I can find a rebate form that would be nice.
Place: Kenedy/Shepperd WalMart
I also checked Walmart at Macowen/Highway 7 but price is $74 so this may be in store special only.
Anyway, anyone know if I can get the $15 rebate?

wonder why the PCI and PCMCIA Wireless cards are expensive compare to the Wireless Routers? They always sell you the routers at low prices but not the cards.

Because nothing in the retail world makes sense
There is no pricing sensibility.
Why is Circuit City's total annual revenue over $10 billion dollars? How much do they markup and what do they 'actually' pay for an average piece of consumer electronics.
What does anything really cost, and who really knows how much something is worth given the volatility of almost everything related to a market.
Theres a whole lot of us who know that a "Manufacture Suggested Retail Price" doesn't mean a dang thing. So why does it exist? Its horrible, the simplist answer I have is to basically rip people off. Its like a "you can expect to pay this much"
Look at this for instance:
http://www.audio-technica.com/cms/headphones/3959bcea6976f903/index.html
I was eyeing these Audio Technica ATH-EC7's they looked great and got reviewed really well, so I figured I'd check them out on the MFG's website duh..
****! I read numberous reviews where people got them for half that! So the price I had in mind was $125ish, and was expecting to pay somewhere around there... I ended up getting a new set of these for $30US shipped new, from an eBay seller in Ontario. And I saw lots of others selling them from anywhere between $25US - $150US.
And thats only one example of a purchase... I've had alot of others and they all add up to the same thing.. You can get something for almost nothing and the guy next to you can pay out his a$$ for the same product.
Why? Who in the hell knows. It makes not a drop of sense.
Only when I can be offered a reasonably simple answer will I understand..
Help me understand!

Well, I think they sell the router cheaper because you are buying one of them and as bait. Once you have their brand in hand, you would want to get the rest of the cards from the same maker and you have to buy several cards to go with the cheap router. IF you like to stick with the same brand that is. :D

Can't remember exactly numbers for the others but there were 3 open boxed and 2 brand new PCI there when I left. But as far as I remember there should be at least 5 each for USB and notebook cards.

Best buy has a router and a USB adapter for like $69 - seems like a pretty good deal
I got a handful of USB adapters at staples on boxing day for $19.99. Never seen it that cheap since
