I know that HMV has X2 for 5.99 at the moment, but I found this deal on amazon.ca and includes Daredevil which is much more pricey everywhere I've checked. The only problem is the shipping... so try and add a few fillers to top your basket to 39 bucks and you're good to go... enjoy:

I bought that Xmen2/Daredevil pack for 8.99$ at costco 2 months ago. And I believe Zellers and Toys r us is selling it for around 10$... €and no need to bother about shipping fees...

is it the special edition? i guess not.. i was always told the director's cut was better, but the copy I have is the original dvd release.

I bought the 2 pack at Toys R Us for $10 yesterday. They are both 2 disc editions too.

didn't even know toys r us sold dvd's. I bought X2 earlier for 5.99 at HMV, too bad or i'd probably have tried to get the two pack there.

I just opened my X2 and found that on the barcode there is a small slice. I think someone was saying that the barcode of the HMV ones were cut too.

Actually, the director's cut is pretty good. There's another story that was cut from the theatrical release, which features Coolio. I doubt that they're giving away the director's cut in that package though.

Does that mean anything?

I don't really know but maybe it's why they're selling them cheaper.

There wasn't a Special Edition of Daredevil. If anything, the first DVD release would be the special edition, as it has two discs. The Director's Cut only has one disc and doesn't have all the features.

You guys weren't specific, but I think the "cut out" DVDs were the ones that came in the two packs. I don't recall seeing the $5.99 single disc X2 at HMV being cutouts.

the x2 i got at HMV had a sqaure cut out of the sleeve that matched the UPC on the case. I couldn't tell if it wsa a 2nd upc they had removed, or the hole was supposed to be there to let the other upc show through, so it could scan.

My upc wasn't cut out. It just has one cut on it. Doesn't really bother me though.

for those dvds w/ the "slip cases / sleeves", i'm starting to see more and more of that for the new release dvds....

i wonder why they can't just have the UPC right on the sleeve instead... make it look nice instead of an odd "hole" on it.

Oops, okay, here is some more clarification :) ...

The cardbloard slipcases are meant to have the rectangle hole, which show the UPC underneath it. Yeah, the manufacturer's suck for doing this.

When I say "cut out", I mean like when there's a hole or burn mark like how they do with CDs that are deleted or promos. Some of the Fox ~$10 two packs I've seen had a burn mark on the plastic amaray case where the UPC is.
