I just got my bestskinever for my Zune 80gb, I'm really hesitant about putting water on the skins, everyone who has done this never has any soapy residue left under the skin on their screens?

I followed the instructions and used liquid soap + water. At first, I was skeptical, but the soap water worked wonders - It was MUCH easier to align and set in place, and once the water dried a little, it was easier to place pressure on the shield and make it stick.

The key is patience:
1. Dip it in soapy water.
2. Align the shield on your device.
3. Wait for the shield to dry a little.
4. Squeegee the excess off and your done.

Can you re-use the skins?? I have one that's getting dirty and i would like to clean it but not sure if i would be able to re-apply the skin.

Doubt it, as you would be peeling off the adhesive layer as you remove the skin.

The skin on the display part of my Zune has water(?) trapped under it, I'm seeing small dots that well look like water trapped between something all colourful and stuff, anyone else get this when they put a skin on, what do you do then? Overall I'm not impressed, my Zune looks dirty now with the skin on as opposed to transparent, I used a mild soap water solution, followed all the instructions, tried my damnedest to get all the water out. Also there is an imperfection in the skin over the skin, so far this has been VERY frustrating!

It was my first time to buy any body skins for any of my products but I thought it would interesting to try. I got skins for my blackberry and for my sisters DS. All I have to say is that man it is sticky, you need lots of patience and time to put that stuff on. But once its on it doesn't look all that bad. For only a few bucks this stuff is great I think.

It shouldnt be that sticky, if you use enough soap it should "glide" into place. The solution should feel a bit soapy in your fingers.

Once the skin dries (about a day or two), it will start to look better.

sometimes the bubbles will stay there even after the water dries, so its best to try and push it out as far as possible when its still wet...

Tried full body skin for the Bold, and i wouldn't recommend it. The skin was way too flimsy to control and the edges are really hard to bend it over the edges. In the end i had to completely throw it out because it got too frustrating. I went back and bought the screen skin and it works perfectly!

Don't buy BSE skins!!!

THE SKIN IS PERMEABLE!!!

I had it on my Iphone 3G since September 08. Now there are black rectangular patterns appearing between the backside of the phone and the skin. The marks are not on the exterior side of the skin. The BSE skin is the only protection I've had. Didn't use any cases at all. I tried to ask BSE for solution, but they keep blaming on where I put it.

Here's the conversation exchange:

Hello XXXX,

Information from the manufacturer tells us that the material is permeable so if the material is in continuous contact with specific types of surfaces/substances the color will transfer. This is not a defect, nor does this happen often. You would have to determine where the color transfer is coming from and avoid it. Otherwise the same thing will happen to a new Skin.
You might try to gently clean the area with a microfiber/non-scratch cloth and a few drops of rubbing alcohol. We have not tried this but a customer told us that he successfully uses Windex to clean his phone.

Best Regards,

Sherry T.

Discoloration of the Skin is very unusual but from the feedback we've received, could occur from contact with the dyes in cases or some types of fabric or from excessive exposure to skin oil. Its not the Skin by itself that is discoloring, its what the Skin is coming in contact with that causes it. To avoid this happening to a new Skin, we advise minimizing exposure to the types of things that will cause the discoloration.

mine tuned blue-ish (as i keep my phone in my jeans) the black squares....i dunno. kinda looks like u shoved it in a leather case or similar.

hard to imagine such a perfect pattern comes from being placed in your pocket only.

i cant imagine how they formed. weird

I have black marks from the fabric of the case I store my NDS Lite in. They are similar to yours and are under the skin. Not a big deal since my NDS is Crimson/Black.

Even knowing this will happen I will probably still buy from BSE in the future. They protect the device well and are practically unnoticeable. Zagg invisible shields turn yellow over time apparently, so there is no perfect solution.

So Zagg (InvisibleShield) has a new policy. You do not need to send in your first skin when you get a replacement. However, if you want a second replacement for the first replacement, you have to send in your first replacement after you get the second to keep your lifetime warranty. In other words, you can get 3 of the same skin for the price of one (without ever mailing them back any skin).

Yeah, you should call their toll-free number. It took me less than 2 minutes to do. They will ask for a reason though. Then they will send you a link to your e-mail after you confirm it. And then you pay like you regularly would on the site (just the $3.95 US shipping). Really easy. I wish I done it earlier.

While I love the bestskinsever/invisible shield and served my Ipod Touch well for over a year now, I'm quite annoyed by the fact that they don't have anything for the Sony Walkmans. I recently bought the 639 model and well, NONE of these places have anything for the Walkmans. None of them plan to make one either from emailing them myself. Why is this? I reckon the player is popular enough... I know I can do DIY but still.

If you can carefully peel most of it off, GooGone from CTire easily removes the residue. It works on any sticker residue. Use sparingly and wipe off with a damp cloth when you're done.

i would use EXTREME caution anytime a solvent is used on plastics. the glue usually comes off with the skin.

if it doesn't, stick a section of the used skin back down onto the glue residue and it will ususally pull right off.

Don't use the GooGone until you peel it off... I've removed dozens of BSE's before and I've yet to see one leave any sort of residue.

I found ZAGG to be quite easy to install. I cannot speak to the quality of the BSE protectors but all the ZAGG protectors i've ordered (Thinkpad lid, gps screens x3, n95-8gb body, suunto watch, ipaq 210 x2) have been an excellent fit - almost too precise even so there is low tolerance for mis-application.

I have yet to notice any discoloration.

I'm not sure how you can screw up the protector during installation but something something about making things foolproof.

I would suggest either a case of pebcac or either:

a) little patience
b) didn't read the application instructions
c) poor hand eye coordination
d) fat fingers
e) all the above

I know I should read back in the thread, but I don't have 4 hours :) Are BSE protectors grippy? I have some 3M protective film that I use for screen and device protection. I bought a roll 2 years ago and have a lot left. I think it's probably the same material that they use for BSE and Invisible shields etc. I find it's a little too grippy for touchscreens when using a small stylus. Is this the same stuff?

BSE is only "grippy" the first day or two after you applied it. Once it is completely dry (instruction says to wait 24-48 hours), it becomes a nice, glossy and non-grippy surface.

FerrisB
Feb 25th, 2009, 07:08 PM
Well, confirmed that BSE and Invis. Shields use the same material I have a roll of. It is grippy and there is always a tiny ripple effect on it when you look in the right light. This stuff sucks for small stylus use unless you leave finger oils on it so it slides better. The upside is it lasts forever and is near impossible to scratch. It's crystal clear and nice and shiny too.

If anyone is interested you can buy 18" rolls of it by the foot. (8mil 3M Paint Protection Film) http://www.invisiblemask.com/bulkfilm.html

I bought from Zagg (went by different name) about 2 years ago for my mp3 player. The skin fit great though. Unfortunately the skin I received did have a few odd stretch lines on it so it was annoying when watching videos. They were kind enough to take back the skins and send me a new one. I'd still recommend them. Plus you can easily find coupons to use to cut the cost.

I briefly managed to compare them in the past too though never side by side and the invisibleshield seemed to be of better quality?

It's just come to my attention that there are very few, if any, references to gadgetshieldz on the web...on sites like iLounge and slickdeals. And most of the pages I found on them, such as this one (http://www.thinkdigit.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1076698) where I found the coupon code, is sketchy because they are new registrations and using the same pics (http://www.ppcsg.com/index.php?showtopic=105438) as a company affiliated person.

So I was wondering, the first RFDer (http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8612694&postcount=1058) who said they purchased from them, have you received it yet and how is it?

Apparently they are in India so I don't know if the ship time is longer or comparable to items bought from China/Hong Kong (which can be surprisingly fast).

i just got my shield from gadgetsheildz for my blackberry bold, one thing thats a plus is the screen protector is connected to the front ends to the bottom, which i think is a plus, because its all one connected piece, but it makes it hard to put on, i also suggest you to use 24hours to dry, because you want to drench each piece with water, it helps with the maneuverability,

http://www.gadgetshieldz.com/blackberry-bold-9000-scratch-proof-skins-screen-protectors-cases-covers.html

its way cheaper and full body than most of the other companies like zaag, and protech, and its clear, no colored glare, 1+

Can't really comment on a "stain" as I haven't taken mine off and it's on a black ipod video. Have had it on for over a year now and still perfect, don't see any discoloring.

I just finally last week took mine off of my first gen white iPod Nano after around two years, actually. Looks perfectly fine.

The skin itself discolours a little bit after a couple years -- it becomes a little bit yellowish, like old plastic -- but it doesn't stain the device itself at all.

Ok, so i finally got around to installing the Gadgetshieldz i ordered a couple of weeks ago (it came in the mail pretty quickly, but since i wasn't home and they used TNT as the courier, i had to find the time to get to the one depot they have in the province).

The top piece was easy to install on my iphone, but i found the rear/side piece a pain. I'm a little worried that the corners won't stay down as i've already pressed it back down quite a few times, but seeing as it's only been on for about an hour, i'll give it a chance.

I installed the InvisibleShields kit on my PSP and my iPod video without any problems, but they were much easier.

I bought a iSkins Solo, and I am ready to go.

Aren't the PSP and iPod video skins mostly flat surfaces? InivisibleShields, Zagg, BSE, or whichever brand you're buying, curved surfaces like on the Touch and the iPhone will require patience and care in application if you want good results.

I've done the 1 piece back for the Touch 2G, and while it was harder than usual, I still had a decent result since I took my time with it.

I advise ppl not to buy the 2 pc back as you can see the seem and it looks aweful.

all it takes is a little practice and the key is to be patient AND TO USE LESS WATER!... I've done it so many times that I've mastered the process.

Hi all,

Thinking of picking one up for the cover of my MacBook white. How well do these cover up scratches and scuff marks on the cover?

I have quite a few scratches and markings all over the white cover so if these protectors actually "mask" them or smooth out the surface that would be excellent.

Thx. M.H.

These cover scratches VERY well. I applied one to a year-old Creative Zen V plus with a shiny rediculously scratched-up surface. Afterwards, I could have passed the MP3 player as brand new, not joking here.

That said I would not recommend this for white macbook because dust ends up getting under edges after a half a year or so. The edges end up looking yellowish and dirty. I have a full body skin on my Lenovo x60s. Although this issue has shown up, it doesn't look too bad because the laptop is black. I am extremelly happy I put it on. I have been treating the laptop like crap and it still looks new and shiny, especially the handrests.

ordered bestskin one time, but I prefer Zagg invisible shield. Yes they are really overpriced, but I buy them when there's a 50% off sale, and zagg seems thinner and more invisible. Everytime I applied a bestskins on something, it looks ugly and dust gets under the corners.

I have an ipod touch + cell phone with Invisible Shield for more than year, and it still looks like new. No scratch + the skin is barely visible. I prefer to pay a little more and get a good result.

I am a big fan of BSE, I had it on my DS, ipod video, iphonex2... but my white iphone was not happy with the last skin applied to it. It has all this brown stuff
stuck between the skin and my iphone. Really Gross.

I had it in a case+skin for the whole time, and it was on for about two months... emailed them about the discoloration experienced... and they just said it was best not suited for white devices. Woe is me.

I received mine (Full Skin IPhone 3G) and applied it according to the instructions and overall I am impressed. The skin feels like it could take a few knocks and still be clear. The only problem that I have with the kit is that it relies on my attention to detail and patience to be proper. I am lacking on both accounts. Still looks good, but I wish I was more skillful with the application.

Figured I would share my BestSkinsEver experiences here.

I purchased a total body skin for my iPod Touch last year. Several months ago, the corner of the skin started coming off my iPod Touch and now will not stick to the device any longer.

I contacted their customer support informing them of this problem. However, they told me that the life expectancy of a product is 12-14 months and that basically this is "expected." There was no offer to address this issue at all.

The other skin I purchased from BestSkinsEver was even longer ago and for my Motorola Krzr. This skin that went over the phone's screen soon became "indented" from the raised numeric keypad numbers on the phone. The skin over the screen looks unsightly now as a result.

This is two strikes now with products I've purchased from BestSkinsEver. The quality of their product is questionable at best and their Customer Service is unwilling to address these issues. (I have purchased cheaper skins from other websites which have replaced skins free of charge for me when there was a defect I reported.) Suffice it to say, I do not recommend buying skins from BestSkinsEver for these two reasons.

Purchased a skin from ProtechYourDevice for my white iPhone and have not had any problems with discoloration so far. I made the decision to purchase a skin from an alternative company (ProtechYourDevice in this case, since they had a 50% off coupon at the time) in part because of quality issues with previous skins I have purchased from BestSkinsEver.

Zagg Invisible Shields by far are the fanciest out of all the skins I've tried. They come in cardboard packaging as well as with a rubber squeegee and a spray bottle of solution to wet the skins, as opposed to most other companies that send you the skins in an envelope and nothing more.

yes they are fancier. but here is what you got to think about you pay what.. like 10 bucks for a BSE. but you pay close to 30 dollars for a invisible shield. your paying 20 bucks extra for spray you can make yourself.. the squegee you can easily replace with a credit card. and what some cardboard boxing that you will never use in your life? think about it i'd rather save 20 bucks and get one mailed to me in an envelope. and i've had no problems with my bse skins. all my handheld electronics use it and have no problems.

I had the same problem, except they sent me a free skin. I e-mailed them acting really naive and saying how I wish I went with InvisibleShield because my skin was peeling off. Even with InvisibleShield which I have for my phone, the material just doesn't stick well to curvy parts. It's too bad you had such bad experiences.

nope, if you drop your phone it will smash into a million pieces! the skin will only protect your phone from scratches and the like! try a silicone case for a bit more 'drop' protection. :D

True. Used to have my iPhone with ZAGG Invisible Shield Protection. Everything was nice and cool, until I dropped it. The screen shattered and did not even get hit on the screen, just one side...so, if you want drop protection, need to get those silicon/rubber cases.

My 2 cents...

Has anyone used this screen protector on a handheld pc with stylus input? I have an Ipaq 210 and the screen went belly up due to scratches after 11 months. Got a replacement under warranty, would like to cover the screen so that it lasts longer this time.
Does the skin affect the accuracy of the inputs?

FYI, the BSE skins have a small amount of texture to them, similar to an "orange peel". Personally, I wouldn't want this on a screen, but some people are ok with it. I do use the BSE back skin on my iPhone to protect the case against scratches.

no different than any other screen. leaves no residue. if it does, stick it back down quickly and remove again. the residue sticks to the glue on the sheet.

When it comes to other non-iPhone PDA's, where stylus input is primary method of input, the BSE rubber texture is actually *very* good. The screen will have "give" like you were writing on a pad of paper and the extra friction means you won't miss your taps...

Now for PDA's where finger *is* your primary method of input, BSE's rubber texture is no preferred since you do want a slippery surface to swipe and do gestures...

Zagg invisibleshield has the same "texture"...

It's actually not a texture per say.. it just looks "rippley" in light but touch wise, it feels like smooth rubber...

Sash[DSL]
Aug 28th, 2009, 01:11 PM
Actually I like the texture of BSE much more than original slippery screen surface, both for taps, stylus and finger input. Its texture does make the screen look a slight bit duller and grainier but the effect is barely noticeable and is well worth it.

;9328804']Its texture does make the screen look a slight bit duller and grainier but the effect is barely noticeable and is well worth it.

This is the primary reason why I don't like textured films on screens. If I have a device with a nice screen, why would I want to compromise the display quality with a textured BSE? Perhaps the BSE does improve stylus-based input but personally, I place a higher priority on maintaining screen clarity while providing scratch protection.

For my iPhone, I use the Power Support Crystal Film which is invisible and perfectly smooth with no texture. Unfortunately, I don't think Power Support makes films for many devices. There must be similar products out there though.

all these different skins are basically polyurethane film...

of course some are better than others...

i've tried the zagg one on my iphone and i absolutely hate it. i got it for $15 shipped but i still feel ripped off due to the fact that it sucks so much. it has horrible orange peel and also wasn't cut correctly. then after 1 month, the corner started peeling and so i warrantied it. to my surprise, the skin was very yellowed and nasty looking (lucky i had a black iphone). zagg also scammed me $6usd shipping for the replacement (they only charged $2.5 shipping the first time). note that zagg films are overly soft and are also damaged by alcohol (i like to disinfect my phone every now and then)

in the end, i replaced the zagg skin with some 3m clear bra (yes, it's a polyurathane film). i made my own iphone skin based on the zagg stencil. 3m clear bra is a lot smoother and than zagg so my phone still looks nice a shiny as if there was nothing on it. i've also tried alcohol on it and it's holding up great.

for the front iphone lcd, i recommend the mirror lcd protectors on ebay for less than $1 shipped. they're great and fairly scratch resistant. if you don't like the mirror finish, there are also clear ones.

For Zagg Invisible Shields, they offer free replacements for the "yellowing" problem. I'm pretty sure you have to pay shipping for them to send you a new one and you may have to send your old ones back to get them replaced. I have not done this so I'm speaking only on what I've heard, not from experience.

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents here... I bought a few bestskins for my iPhone and itouch and was not impressed. It was very difficult to install(bubble prone and hard to correct/lay down), and added a rubbery texture to the screen that did not feel good nor was great for touch applications that involve sliding your finger around.
As far as screen protectors are concerned, my best experience had was with the hori knockoff brands sold on dealextreme - applied to my nds and cut out for my prvious winmo phone. They were stiff, easy to apply, not bubble prone and smooth to the touch.. And took great abuse from the games I played. Although it does not appear that such a skin brand was available for the iPhone, I found the other screen protectors from dx exhibited smilar great qualities for cheap (is few bucks shipped).

I bought a BSE skin for my N85 Nokia. Just letting people know, if you're buying this for your N85 -- the skin does not actually fit perfectly, they've measured it off by approximately half a millimeter. Doesn't sound like a lot, but basically it sticks out just enough that a little dust can get underneath the skin. And this on both sides.. actually sides of the phone, so it's not like i made it short on one side and long on the other.

I tried to "fold" the skin over the edge to make up for this but it wouldn't stay down because of how thin the tiny sliver is that is sticking out.

The skin itself is the same quality as what you would expect and I have no issues with the quality. It's just with the tiny sliver sticking out (tiny sliver of adhesive exposed) it means that once enough dust collects in that tiny silver, no doubt the skin will fall off a lot quicker than you might expect as corners/edges start to fray a bit.

And in case you're wondering, I consider myself an expert at installing these skins, I've had several before on my previous phones and never had this problem. This is however my first BSE skin, I've been using ProtechYourDevice in the past, but they didn't have a skin for N85.

Nice.

It appears from my recent order that they've changed their material to one that is:
a) slightly thinner
b) less rubbery/grippy
c) has a mildly different texture (orange peels are smaller in size)

It's possibly aesthetically better for devices with glossy plastic like the iPhone back, but the downside is that it seems to offers less impact protection.

I've used BSE on my iphone, blackberry curve 8900 and bold 9700. The screen protectors are fine but the full body skins never worked out too well for me.

Generally the edges of the full body pieces begin to accumulate dust, dirt or lint....in the end its a black/dark sticky substance which you can kind of scrap off. FOr my iphone it got to the point where I eventually ripped the edge pieces off completely because it bugged me so much.

As for the blackberry eventually I had to do the same thing and only left the screen protector pieces on so when I bought some for my 9700 I only bought the screen pieces since eventually the body pieces become unsightly.

In terms of price yeah they're good and get the job done, customer service is great too.

I still have BSE on my 5G iPod, but on my iPod touch I had to peel the back off because back skin was peeling in the corners and insane amount of lint got caught underneath. I e-mailed them about it and they sent a replacement. Same thing happened. The iPod touch body is just too curvy for a back skin. And recently, I just got an iPhone, so I'm just going with a case and a cheap front film.

I am still in search of an iPhone front skin that has the properties of mimicking the glass screen, smooth and easy to slide, no orange peel and unlike the glass, smudge proof.
PQ/VQ is very important to me and I have not found one better than the cheap DealExtreme static ones for $1.50 shipped. However, they do tend to smudge a bit and can be scratched... although being housed in an Otterbox Defender (I cut out the stock screen protector) has prevented scuffs.

Anyone using this with an iPhone? Is there image distortion?
I tried PYD, and there is random orange peel.
Because with the DE ones, as long as it's clean, you can't even tell it's there.

One thing I noticed from BSE is the quality. It's thinner and doesn't feel as high quality as the others. Still has the tacky feel though. Installation for the Hero actually wasn't that hard and it seems to be sticking pretty well.

Just like the others, dust is attracted to the corners after being in your pocket.

My only concern is that my phone is white, and I heard that these things stain.

they do stain. after i sold my white 3G, i chose black for my 3GS just because i knew id use BSE again. the oils in your hand are absorbed by the material and yellows it. same with the blue from my jeans. on a blk phone, its not noticeable at all.

i use the DX front screen protector. way better for clarity and gaming. super slick, VERy durable and uber CHEAP. if it scratches so what, you get 2 in a pack. i did however keep my BSE front button (home) skin on. the grip there is useful

After having applied both a Best Skins Ever sheild and an Invisible shield (obviously not at the same time) on my iphoneI think I prefer the Best Skins Ever. The BSE only started to yelllow and peel at the corners after a couple of years. The Invisisheild started to yellow after a few months and the corner are really grungy and peeling. So, I ordered one for my Ipad but holy did I spazz it up!! Air bubbles everywhere....it's harder to do than an iphone because of the size. In any case, I emailed them to make sure it was my error and not some manufacturer problem and they were wonderful enough to say they will mail me a complimentary replacement! Got to love the customer service. I highly recommend them.

Juicymama

The air bubble will disappear over time for any new ipad skin applier.
The bubble is caused by the giant size of the screen and the way you put the soap water on it.
Normally a week or 2 and all the air bubbles will be gone.

Cheers.

Thanks for this -- BSE blows, what's with their terrible selection? And the morons didn't even return my product inquiry e-mail..

I'll try your site for $14.99 and 2 sets, can't go wrong

cheers

The new BSE skins are fantastic...I had a skin from them on my iPhone 3G from a year or two back and the material now is much nicer!! Not so tacky, smoother, yet still strong. I'm impressed...great deal to be had.

Hello everyone!

I just got myself a new Galaxy S Vibrant and I was going to buy an InvisibleShields full body. I noticed there was a sale which included 75% off all Samsung, but when I went to buy mine, it obviously wasn't on sale. I found this thread having lots of coupons, so I was wondering if you guys knew where I could find coupons/rebates for such a case. Currently, it's priced at 24.99$ + shipping. I was trying to get this brand, but I find it a bit expensive considering most of the other cases are discounted. Maybe there are some discounts/codes/etc. available somewhere that I haven't found?

Thanks for your help! :)

Like this (http://www.bestskinsever.com/samsung-vibrant-skin) for $8.99? Same material as InvisibleShields but a lot cheaper, and they've been putting 15% off coupon on the BestSkinsEver Facebook page lately too. As for IS coupons, I signed up for their newletter/contest and they instantly sent me a 50% off coupon.. but I read many horror stories that their cut/fit for the iPhone4 is pretty bad so I gave it away to someone else.

I just got my BSE order today. Ordered last Thursday so 1 week total!

Thanks for the tip Cryton! I might go with BSE instead. Can you tell me how the installation went now that you've got it? How's the quality for the price? Does it seem like it's protecting your device properly? I might do the same as you and simply order from them. It'll be cheaper since no coupons. ;)

EDIT: I just noticed they don't have the Galaxy S for their skinning. They have the Vibrant, which isn't the same thing. Oh well... I'll keep looking around. Thanks though!

Got the iphone 4 total body skins on sale for ~ $6 each

however, they just arrived and they sent the wrong skins... NOT impressed.

I have contacted customer service and I am awaiting a reply. I will keep you all updated on whether they fix their error.

The skins sent were CLEARLY not for the iphone 4 so I am sure WTF happened.

***UPDATE OCTOBER 6th, 2010***

Notified the company of the error. They responded and mailed out replacements the same day. Took 3 business days to arrive and they are now the correct skins. They have included an extra skin for the inconvenience. Haven't applied the skins yet but at least customer service was responsive.

Hi,

Here's a warning for all of you that thought, like me, that you can use a screen skin and an iphone 4 case from the apple free case program. I mean what better idea right??? Protect your screen AND protect the rest of the body from shock.

DON'T!

It will peel off, stretch, cut, etc.l

They do not fit, they are not meant to go together. I threw out two shields because I tried may ways to put it on. It's impossible.

They really should put warnings or recommendations against.

Iphone 4 case + case = bad idea

I got the Speck PixelSkin HD from the Apple Case Program.
The case fits around the ip4 with the full BSE around it...BUT it causes the screen protector to lift at the edges...
Decided the BSE is better than the case itself so I dont use the case...

Thanks to those who posted the weekend discount code.
Just picked up another two full skins for the IP4 and 2 Bold 9700 screen covers.

Do I just order 1 and they will automatically add another one when they ship the order? or am I doing something wrong?

These are still one 2 for 1. I am wanting to buy one for my Blackberry Torch, but I am a little concerned about needing water to install. Wont it get under the screen or into the speaker hole and damage the phone?

Any dry install screen protectors that are good?

Yes, it'll get under the screen and speaker holes and damage your device. That's why people are still buying these skins after 5 years.

I wouldn't worry that much about it, the amount of water shouldn't be that much to start with and a correct application technique would squeeze the water out in direction away from the speaker/ports, even if some water slip through, leaving the device for the recommended 24 hours before the first power up should be enough to take care of any remaining water (I have seen some use hair driers or a toaster oven just to make sure).

For dry application for the torch, there is BodyGaurdz dry kit (http://www.bodyguardz.com/blackberry-torch-9800-dry-apply-cases-screen-protectors-covers-shields-skins-films.html) (but I haven't personally used the dry kit, yet there wet kits are as good as any of the others).

I love my Super AMOLED screen on my Samsung Galaxy S Captivate. No need for silly skins.

Apple didn't want to pay for Samsung, so they made some modifications with the 4S to further reduce the possibility of scratches but still not as good.

I suppose pay Corning for the Gorilla Glass.

Apple now has a 4" screen like the Galaxy S I while the II is now 4.3 inches.

Say what? The iPhone 4S has a 3.5" screen and Samsung doesn't own Gorilla Glass so I don't know how you tied them into Apple not using them (Apple apparently uses glass similar to Gorilla Glass from Lens Technology). Gorilla Glass is no excuse for a proper screen protector either if you are after having a scratch free display. I have a Steinheil protector on my SG2 and it is great, no orange peel which was my big issue with BSE.

Had my skin for about 3 months now. Scratches do remain, and add up over time. In fact, when I putting the skin on I had a pretty long thumb nail... and I ended up putting a permanent mark on it by accident by pressing too hard.

Other than, its pretty good.

The 2nd generation Samsung Galaxy S2 has a 4.3" screen. http://www.corninggorillaglass.com/products-with-gorilla/samsung

I guess the I-Phone 5 will have a 4" screen and people will soooooo impressed.

Zero minute scratches after 3/4 of a year. I do is fog the lens with my breath and wipe it with my shirt to clean.

BTW, I've also dropped it 4 times and it's all good.

It isn't 'dishwasher' detergent (for dishwashers) that you use - just 'dish soap' (for hand washing dishes)
