Well, I tried 'add to order' out of curiousity, and they charge $380 ground shipping to my location (NL).... nice. Tried a NS Postal, and it was the same. Sneaky buggers.

Do you guys think it's a good price other than the shipping charge? I live 10 minutes from their Markham store.

The price for the TV is great, the TV itself is pretty good - I've had one for 6 weeks now. Has some shortcomings, but not enough to warrant paying another $1000-$1500 for just a little bit better set.
I checked out the TD site when the price was dropped to $1299, and they wanted $304 to ship it from T.O. to London, then once they dropped price again, to $1199, they wanted $389 to ship it!! Did they move further away in a week? What a laugh - I see they'll charge the same amount to ship to the East Coast. Buncha weasels. There oughtta be a law......... >:(

Shipping fully kills the deal.
I'll just wait for the 1080p set to become alive again at the Bay.
Not that much more and increased res to boot.

They have a bunch (10) or so in stock now (Markham store).
Price is $1199.99 + tax.
There is a $100 rebate available too.
Great deal.

For that much in shipping costs, it better be delivered in a limo. Who in their right mind would pay that much?

It's only a good deal if you can pick it up in store.

I heard Syntax - Olevia has bad customer service, and I don't know how returnable things are at TigerDirect. This is/was still a good price but when buying a tv IMO costco is still the best place.
On another note, the guy at TD said that the LCD panel for this tv is Philips/LG
