Here's my story, please help me out guys. Thank you in advance
I think i got scammed by a low positive feedback ebayer.
i purchased a phone for $200, waited 2 months and never received it
contact him 5 times never response until I started a Ebay dispute. He said he will only give me partial $100 refund and wait til he gets response from post office he will refund the other half.

So i Waited another month and I didn't notice the dispute automatically ended within 90 days, not from the day I started the dispute but from the day the auction closed. So i contact the seller again, asking for what he got back from the post office. 2 days from now, still no reply from him.

I understand $100 is not a lot for some of you guys, but I can always use that money to buy something else especially with so many deals i find on RFD!
I don't think I will ever get the $100 back, since dispute closed automatically and I didn't choose "take further action" to get it claimed from Ebay. What can I do now?

I will continue to send him messages and leave him a negative if he doesn't response for 7 days. But will feedback be expired and can no longer be left if I leave it for too long?

I had the same thing happen. Paypal keeps the claim open and if any money's deposited into his/her account they will refund you your owed bablance. Took me 2 months to get 24 dollars. :P

Did you pay via credit card for Paypal? If so, contact your credit card company for fraud. They'll pay you back first, then investigate.

Go to this page: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQtZvbQQsofindtypeZ9

You can get an eBay member's contact information. Use that form, and you'll be sent the information within a few days. Note that YOUR information is passed along to the person you're searching as well.

You'll get the user ID, name, company, city, state, country, phone, and registered since date. Don't know if this is helpful to you or not.

You may want to see if you can still leave feedback. As far as I know, feedbacks can only be left within 90 days of the auction closing date as well.

How did you pay for the item? Through PayPal with a credit card? Usually with PayPal you can ask for a reverse payment (although I am not sure about the time frame for which you can do this).

Perhaps the best thing to do is to consult with eBay and to see what their rules are for disputes over the 90 day period. You can explain the whole situation to them and forward and emails you've got from the seller.

I think the major mistake you made was that you waited way too long to start the dispute. 2 months? Seriously, nothing takes 2 months to ship. 1 month is the absolute max that I will wait as you have only a month to file a claim with paypal.

Due to the timing, I think you're out $100.

You are right,
the reason why i waited 2 months was because this scammer stalled me. He said he had accident and was in hospital and didn't ship immediately.

I learned my $100 lesson.

next time if i dont receive an item within 30 days i will start dipute on paypal immediately. And then if I dont see money with the paypal dispute I will start an Ebay dispute.
