Maybe a homeless guy can now explain Stephen Harper's attire. Atleast the homeless guy may have a chance at looking remotely civil.

A 'Real Man' does not know what a fashion faux-pas is.
In fact a real man does not understand the words faux pas

Aside from the latest issue - Stephen is a real man!

As for the Military Spending - most of that mony is spent in the US economy - everything from the paychecks for the soldiers to the equipment which is made in the US. Military spending stimulates the economy and military research has lots of technology spin-offs. Remember that the Internet came as a result fo DARPA

The military is the U.S.'s social program. Sucks for the poor people. However, much of the money coul be better spent elsewhere. How much have they wasted in Iraq now? How many friends have they made there?

At least it makes sure people get off their rear and do something, not like Canada.

Somehow I have a feeling that if US government stop spending that much,

1. their economy will collapse
2. our economy will follow. We have a lot of business here directly and indirectly feeded by their military contract.
3. the world economy will also follow.
