I can get online wiht my laptop but i cant seem to be able to get to certain webpages like hotmail. Most other webpages do work though. This is the same on wireless and wired connections, windows firewall isnt connected either. I have tried this one a few different internet connections and it is still the same. ANy ideas as to what would have caused these problems? I did the repair and that seem to work just fine but it made no difference as to fixing the problem. All help appreciated.

Most routers will default you to 1500 or 1492 MTU/MRU values unless you go in and manually change them. Are other computers able to access those pages fine via the same connection? If so, look towards software firewalls/securitiy suites/settings that restrict secure sites (TCP port 443 if i'm not mistaken). If they all don't and the MTU/MRU values don't help, try forwarding port 443 on the router.

perhaps it is only sites that need cookies enabled? Mayber your browser security settings are too high?
