Was wanting to upgrade to new AM2 cpu since they are so cheap now....
was wondering which motherboard is the best for AM2 right now ?
Don't really need Crossfire or SLi.... but i do, do alittle of OC'ing...
well im at it, what ram should i get as well ?

I'd say Asus M2M-E .... BUT I would not think of going AM2 atm cause there seems to be alot of memory compatibility issue with soem of the ram moduals to use on then. that is on some of the AM2 boards or so I have been reading on a few sites.

No point in going AM2 If you're already using 939, just get a new cpu.

I have the Asus M2N-E.... if you don't be SLI then it's a great board for $115.
as for the Ram issues just don't buy OCZ for DDR2!!!! I ahve heard lots of problems from almost ever store I've visited..... right now I'm using 2x 1 gig kingston ddr2 667mhz and I havn't had any issues or problems.

this that ya are refering to is already mentioned on the OCZ forum with various solutions to it. but even as they said to download the manual & see what chips they recomend to use on it with there testing.

I would go with something with an ATI RD600 chipset. It is just as good as NF5 and it is not power hungry like NF5 is, therefore also runs much cooler. Such boards should also cost less because they don't need to rely on either an expensive heatpipe passive cooling solution, or a loud northbridge chipsetfan like NF5 does.

Crosshair is the newest high-end Asus mobo. It's part of their new "republic of gamers" line. It's basically an ultra high-end version of the M2N32-SLI Deluxe. It has a post LED display and better audio.
