Planning to head down to NY this month. Just wanted to see if someone here knows what the legal age for clubbing and gambling is in NY. Is it 21 or 19?

Gambling is not 21 in the whole US.

I don't know about other places, but I know the Washington State gambling age is 18.

18 in NY.

Gambling age is 18, but if they serve alcohol you must be 21.

So you can go to the corner store and buy a lottery ticket, but you cant be in a casnio that serves alcohol. There are some charity casinos that dont serve alcohol.

With regards to clubbing most clubs are 21+ however you will sometimes hear of places where it is 18 to party and 21 to drink.

Tip those $40 "novelty' ids they make at yonge/dundas work in the states. Just make sure you get a canadain one (my friend used her North West Territories id no problem)

Ive had friends who got caught with them at the border and since they weren't american based they did nothing.

He got lucky. Possesion of fake ID can lead to some pretty significant problems for yourself.

many clubs in NY have a 18 to party 21 to drink, if you are looking beer and your under 21 just go to a bodega but you would have to pay more.

well see thats the thing, there not fake. Those id's you get downtown are no different the me doing this, or printing out a copy.

Ive had fake ids taken away that were far more legit then the crap downtown and the police here dont care. This ofcourse was back in the day when I was a minor.

The reason they wont do crap at the border is for 2 reasons.
1) Its a canadain novelty ID so its not really their problem
2) As long as its not a replica Ontario drivers licesne (which they dont sell ANYWHERE) its not really a fake id, rather some card with your photo on it with text. If you used it to purchase alcohol or get in somewhere yes then it could be considered a fake id. until you do that its just a peice of plastic, much like the little card I made above is just text.

I am heading down there as well in a week or so and thinking of going to Websters Hall. Anybody been there or know of any other clubs that would be good to go to?

Spent new years at websters it was terrible. Paid like $80 for tickets which they said were limited quantity. Instead they sold some outside the door to anyone and overcrowded the place. It was impossible to get drinks and overall I wasn't drunk at midnight, also since it was so packed I didn't manage to make it back from the bar to my friends in time for new years.

I suppose im spoiled because of the new years experince but other then that it wasnt anything particularly special (comparing to t.o's clubs scene)

If you can make it down to Atlantic City (bout 1.5 hours away) De Ja Vu night club kicks ass, they have some crazy shot girls.
