He just made a new one called "tonyt", hes the same as genchang. He emailed me with the same response as the pm system wanting my sharp902. His email was genchang@gmail.com and he ripped someone off with an email called genchangXXXXXXX (some random numbers). His name on that email (genchang@gmail.com) was Jason Tan. Holy **** he makes new accounts all the time and wow the mods dont know anything about it.

Listen: I sold the guy a psp with a 2gb Sony MS, but I don't know if the ms is fake because I just got it from another guy. I have checked it out before I sold it. It works fine and the size show in the psp is 1936 MB. and he also ckecked it out before he pays. yes, some of them are in bad condition, but that is not scamming, everybody can see can check what them got before they pay. It is their opinion to buy or not. Cheaper price got worse condition phone. That is fair.

The phones that he claims are "excelent condition", are more like 4-5/10!!!. (dropped, scratches all over). Hard to communicate in english (Jason MY ***!). Speaking from own experience. My buddy met with him, sold him broken Samsung X426 that looked like it was ran over with a car ("Excelent condition" LOL). After usless phone calls he agreed to meet. Not hard to figure out that he did not show up.

I told him we can meet at a busy Tim Hortons, if he's uncomfortable (Midland & Steeles) where I've met several other RFDers. He said no to that.

Then, on Sunday, I call him in the morning & he says to me we can meet up at 9PM on Sundday (yeah, apparently he wasn't afraid of the dark on Sunday.) I called him at 8:20pm on Sunday to confirm the meet, he says he's busy and he'll call me later that night.. Calls me at 11:20 and tells me he can't meet up & says to me he'll call this morning to arrange a meeting. He calls at noon & tells me that he's calling from his "friends house" and doesn't have the phone on him & that we can meet up at 3...Expecting a call, I'm sitting here waiting like a fool. During the entire time, he's bumping this thread.

I just stumbled on this thread...quite the bruhahah going on. I've actually dealt with the infamous GenChang. He bought a phone from me and I got my asking price, but I have to agree that he is a bit bizarre...and possibly shady (read on for reasons why). I believe "Mint" also dealt with him. I asked Mint how his transaction went. I will not post Mint's response, but I will post what I asked him over pm. Maybe Mint will post his experience if he sees this thread.

I've noticed you sold your phone to Genchang. I sold my W600i to him just last week. We set a time and place and he eventually paid my asking price. I'm just wondering if he pulled the same act on you.

First, he got me showing up at Birchmount/Steeles. Then he changed it to PacMall. Then when I got there, I called him and he got me to go to Dennison/14 plaza (Burger King there, but I think he works at the chinese restaurant there).

Second, he pops in a FIDO sim and says it's not working...plays dumb and pretends not to know what unlocking is. Tries to use that as leverage to lower my price. I refused since I had other buyers and the price was already low at $200 (perfect condition).

Third, after much squirming and pleaing for a lower price he FINALLY decides he'll take it. BUT doesn't have the money on him. He talked me into driving his ass home to get the money. If I was alone, I would've told him off, but luckily I had someone with me.

All this in his broken english; which is probably all an act too. He's quite the actor.

Anyway, I'm just wondering if this guy puts on this act everytime. He pretends not to know much; says phone is for his own use; and I'm pretty sure the BNIB W600i phone he posted up for sale THE VERY NEXT DAY was the used phone I sold him. Don't be surprised if you see him posting it for sale tomorrow.

he doesn't have a phone on hand but post advertise is okie also BUT u have to straight up that u don't have it on hand and tell other buyer to wait if they are willing to...I already post items up for sale when i don't even have it on hand but i telling customer straight about that if they willing to wait.

so i would say this guys is worth to deals if u are the seller
if u are the buyer just make sure checking the items carefully before u pay
also there is alot of ppls deals with him and know his # or address so if something go wrong still able to find him...
i already read through this thread and didn't see much complain on him

he seem like a guys buying used stuff and cheap stuff try to resell in better price. Lower ball is okie (everyone want to buy cheap..and cheaper..that why we on RFD) if u don't want sell cheaper then just ignore it...
and just for some1 buying from him...just ask him to send the pictures of the items be4 dealing with him...to make sure he has the items on hand and can see what the real condition of the items.

This guy probably speaks limited english for real, however, his manipulation of his "customers" is most definately real. He had a friend of mine who went to see his Sony pick him up at one place and drive him home. He claims to be an exchange student and has no car. Yes, he buys low and sells higher with no regard for the condition of the item. When he has a phone in mint condition he charges premium dollars for it.

What's more amazing than anything else about this guy is that he has probably sold $1000.00 of dollars worth of product in the past year or so. He has done this under false pretences, for the most part. So, who is buying from him? Are some of us not checking reset lifetimers or looking for signs of modification or the phone being serviced etc..

Anyway, he can change his addy, phone number etc...and we wouldn't know. So, caveat emptor and lets continue to give each other a heads up about perps like this little antagonizing out of towner. At least if we know who it is, any conversation we have with him won't go past the phone call. :)

weijun1 is genchang? I just sold him my psp two days ago and it went smoothly. actually met up at his "house" (who knows if it really was). seemed like a cool guy, he looked at the psp, was fine with it and gave me the money. no problems whatsoever. Looking at his 20+ positive feedbacks and 1 negative, I wouldn't have thought that he was a scammer. Didn't look to see if he had any long fingernails though because I didn't come to this page until after our transaction. I would like more info on this guy because I was kind of surprised to see him banned. But I'm just happy that my deal went smoothly. Thank God.

edit: you know what, I just realized that all the old accounts like tonyt and genchang and weijun has the same phone number and come to think of it, his English is horrible. dayam I was actually dealing with a scammer and he was actually sitting in my car...

The long nails are probably because he snorts coke, or uses them to pick at his nose or ears
