Priceline.com Q and Niagara area hotels

Hi all, has anyone found good deals through Priceline's name ur price for Niagara area??? I'm little confused as they consider St. Catherines/Niagara one area.....and if I select a 3* or 4* hotel, i wouldnt want to go very far from the falls....

Has anyone had any luck with this? there's not a single discussion thread on biddingfortravel (or BT) at all.

Look under Niagara Falls, NY on Bidding for Travel and you will find what you are looking for.

Have you used Priceline before? You do not have to select St. Catharines or Welland and can focus on Niagara Falls. If you are not familiar with free rebidding you can bid again after 24 hours with the same criteria, just increasing the price.

Last Mother's Day weekend, we got the Renaissance Fallsview for CAD $97/night taxes in through priceline. And parked at the Casino for free.

Hey MANNYB- Did u go for 4* or 3*? the first reply mentions to chose NY??? The reason I asked if because on NAME YOUR OWN PRICE page, it say's - Niagara Falls -ON consists of St. Catherines area (and I don't wanna end up getting a 4* or 3* so far from falls!!!!

BTW- Mannb - definitely a great steal at $97!!! (Recently I got $80 at Sheraton on the Fallls on Clifton Hill)

The Niagara Falls, ONTARIO postings are included with the Niagara Falls, NEW YORK postings on biddingfortravel.com. You said you could not find them.

On priceline.com, you can select from 3 zones: Niagara Falls, St. Catharines or Welland. You can not get a hotel in a zone you do not choose. Select Niagara Falls and you will get a hotel in Niagara Falls!

there are lots of small littel hotels and motels and inns in the niagra falls region priceline doesnt cover, try the yellow pages

(Recently I got $80 at Sheraton on the Fallls on Clifton Hill)On priceline you could pick Niagara Falls, NY zone or the Buffalo zone as well as those hotels tend to be cheaper as most tourists prefer to stay on the Canadian side. I was bidding for 4*. I started at $40 then worked my way up when my bids were not excepted. It took me a little over a week of continued bidding to win. There's a certain strategy when re-bidding and picking different zones or star levels. Once you get it mastered, it's pretty easy in getting a room.

Someone mentioned the smaller hotels & motels in the area. I've stayed in some of those dives as well and with proper bidding strategy on priceline, you can win a much much better room for the same price as those other hotels/motels.
