This isn't possible, I've emailed that seller asking him how he feels justified in charging $45USD for a service that costs him no more than $18 which it should since he's a heavy seller., and he said price is fixed. Meaning he won't be 'throwing in' any extras...though I did email back a follow-up and am awaiting.

Looks like our deal is $325 local pick-up in GTA, but will need payment up front due to the phones being special ordered. A deposit would be entertained as well-but I'm sure it would have to be something like 25% or thereabouts.

I've been a die hard moto fan, having modded, and seemed my way into the annals of the many die-hard h4cks0rz.

After resisting, I slowly donned the SE revoluation and was blown away by several things.

Of late I upgraded wifey to the K790a from a brief stint (~2months) with theW810i and was pleasantly...pleased to see the superiority of the camera. The size though was another issue. IT IS BULKY. That God awful back slide cover, and entire protrusion REALLY puts it in a class of it's own. Even for the intensive texting which I do on a daily, does the weight and magnitude of the buttons set in and bear a feel of WEIGHT which I can't put up with for long.

Other than these points, In almost many many other points does it blow my mind. Battery useage, nifty send to other party features for MMS, thumbnail display, free 2gb M2 c/o Rogers ;), and of late my most awesome discover that if I use my W810i's stereo headphone adapter jack and plug in a cassette adapter (YES SUE ME...MY CAR HAS A CASSETTE DECK :twisted: ), I can ACTUALLY patch a call through the cars speakers, and speakerphone mic pics up the audio from me. VERY VERY serendipitous discovery.

Now. My only exposure to Samsungs is the d807. I was BLOWN away by how graphically pleasing and INTENSIVE the UI is. Some ASTOUNDINGLY innovative menu navigational features which I am yet to find in other UI's drew my interest in the D900i. My ONLY ABSOLUTE HATRED of the d807 is the battery life, and the stay-in-front-till-complete processing of multiple recipient SMS or MMS's. Other than this, I just LOVE the Samsung. The reason I'm getting this d900i is because it's a bug that I just HAVE to get out of me.

I'm unsure if I'll be keeping this for a long time...but what I do know is that like the L7 (Moto), I'm sure this phone will be my going out phone. Nothing like pulling out a SLICK phone, and seeing people go googley-eyed :D. Being a 3MP it's MORE than enough to handle itself and get some decent pics. I'm hoping the two main points I've mentioned are resolved in this model., but am prepared if they aren't-the class of this phone is just in and of itself.

Not sure yet. It depends on a couple factors...mainly if the 12 people who want a tytnII are just putting their names down for clout (lol) or if they really follow-through if all is good.

I definately agree with you about this...which is why I mentioned it at the beginning that we need to be realistic, and consider that overhead (profit) on cellphones is not very much, that any dealer will all of a sudden save anybody hundreds over fair market value.

The TyTN II is a powerful device, and I am astounded that we have 13'ish people interested to pick it up at somewhere in the 650-700 range (if I am so naive to dream it would be that)....anyway., it's a rollercoaster, and I'm not getting any hopes up till I get some solid replies.

after doing some research most of these buyers are expecting super cheap prices ( EVEN CHEAPER THAN WHOLESALE COST) which will not happen.....i am willing to offer my assistance but people need to be realistic when it comes to the prices.....

But if you guys want a full blown post, I will do it, but too lazy at the moment... what I was trying to say, to those looking for a Tytn II for $400-550, you guys are being utterly ridiculous and unrealistic.

Ebay prices are always going to start low throughout the auction until the final moments, whether it be hours, minutes, or seconds... it's how eBay works most of the time. It's also common sense and basic logic as well. Who the hell is going to inflate the price when they can keep it low till the end to minimize the cost they are going to pay if they were to win?

For a group buy, an eBay auction is definitely not a valid source to base pricing on... it's just ONE phone out of a gazillion ones out there. A more formidable option would be to look at eBay retailers who offer a buy it now price. Factor in the shipping and customs fees, and then start your negotiations from there.

Well, it's hard to change our idea on the price unless you are able to provide us a price to decide on in the first place.

And isn't that ballpark price the price for a NEW unit on its own? I mean, we should be able to at least realize $50 off that price, no?
