Greetings!
(First time Mac switchers see the very bottom of this e-mail!)***

I am selling this very clean, very handsome and very working PowerBook G4 for a mere $1200. Compared to pricing I've seen on Craigslist, this is a competitive price for the features and doodads you get.

Well, enough chitchat. Here are the specifications:

CPU: PowerPC G4 1.25 GHz
RAM: 1 GB DDR SDRAM (1 chip, other bank is free!)
Video: ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 w/ 64 megs RAM
Drive: 80 GB 5400rpm Hitatchi Travelstar
LCD: 1280x854
Optical: SuperDrive (Writes CD-Rs and DVD-R/RW)

This laptop also comes equipped with:
- Backlit Keyboard with ambient light sensor (shown in pictures!)
- Firewire 400
- Firewire 800
- 2 USB ports
- Airport Extreme wireless card (802.11g/b)
- Bluetooth
- V.92 Modem

Included accessories:
- S-Video -> Composite cable
- RJ-11 phone cable
- I'm lacking the Apple DVI->VGA converter but I'll throw in a generic one
- Original box
- AC Adapter (with extended cord)

Bundled software:
- iLife '04
- OS X 10.3 (Panther) discs

Note: This laptop is currently being tested with a beta Developer build of OS X 10.5 (Leopard) which is due for release next year. I can keep this installed if you're curious to try it out. Otherwise, I will wipe it clean and install OS X 10.4 (Tiger.) While it does come with Panther retail discs, this laptop was included under a software upgrade plan that allowed me to upgrade it to Tiger; I just never recieved the official media. Long story short, you get to choose between having OS X 10.5 (beta, no guarantees) or 10.4 (retail, newest version) OS installed.

Condition:
It is in shockingly great condition and works like a dream. Looks almost new. See?

Buying it:
This is available for downtown Toronto pickup. I work near University and College so this would be the ideal meeting point. You will get everything nicely packaged in the original box to carry away comfortably. If you live in the Markham/Richmond Hill area, I can also make arrangements to drop it by your place.

Transaction methods:
Cash is always good, but given the amount of bills that would be exchanging hands, a money order is fine as well. Sorry, no personal cheques (unless I can wait till it clears before handing over the goods.) An electronic Interac transaction would also suffice if your bank has the ability (but it would be done in advance of pickup to ensure it goes through.) Sorry, I don't mean to sound like a tightwad but I don't want to take chances with expensive hardware.

*** NEW TO MACS?
Glad you're thinking of broadening your horizons! This is an excellent computer for work and play and is part of Apple's business-class notebook lineup. I would be happy to give you a quick 30 minute introduction to the world of Macs when we meet to complete this transaction. We'll go over the basics to get you comfortable and ready to be productive! Say goodbye to the world of spyware, viruses and blue screens of death and welcome to the Mac experience. I can even pre-load some of my favourite freeware and shareware programs if you'd like!

Edit: OH MY! I forgot to include contact info! Please e-mail me at rfd@zubberdust.com to grab this baby before it's gone!
