Hardwood refinishers in Winnipeg

Hi,

Anyone know of a good place that does hardwood refinishing? The 2 places I have looked are charging $2.50 a square foot (refinishing and staining). This seems pretty steep, as I calculated I can do it myself for about .40-.50 a square foot. I just don't know if I trust myself enough to do it!

Check for a hardwood place in Headingly..friends of ours found them to be very reasonable and even better was their quality of work.

I'll see if the wife can remember the name and post it later.

Are you talking about re finishing a wood floor?
I have done and it, and so has my family. First my brother tried it, and had great success. We are currenty going to convert the entire house to hard wood, except for the basement. There has been carpet over the hardwood they day my parents moved in.
Whats not to be trusted with you? If you can save the cash why not do it. Although the equipment can be very heavy, especially if you have to lug it up and down stairs.

Yes, I'm talking about refinishing hardwood that was stained very poorly before. . I'd be willing to give it a shot myself, as I am not scared to try anything, but I am worried that it'll turn out poorly, and we'll have to get it done anyway.
