Hey

just looking for some advice
i bought one of the comstar 250 gb external hard drives from future shop, but i have yet to open it. A friend of mine just told me he can get me a "my book" 160 gb external hard drive for about 100.00, should i stick with the comstar or go with a better name yet smaller size?

How much was the comstar. The MyBook is by Western Digital, and it's mostly just for looks. The hard-drive is good, I would rather go for a good HD brand, like Western Digital, Seagate, Hitachi, Maxtor, etc.

It's this right? http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10062465&catid=23795

Read the reviews on it. I would rather go for the MyBook, or some other known company for external hard drives. But being me, I just have a Vantec external drive with a 300GB Maxtor and it does the job great.
