Hey, so a board length should be in the range of 153 - 158. Since u're going to be a freerider I'll stick with 156 - 158 range. If you're just learning with this board, just try something basic.... nothing too expensive, as it's gonna get scratched and abused left right and centre. So that shouldn't cost you more then $200. So, I think this board will be good for you eh?

Price: $149.00
Tax: $20.86
Total: $168.86 (http://www.boardzone.com/snowoutlet/shop/snowboards/lamar/2004-diablo/index.cfm)
Now on to bindings....

Price: $69.99
Tax: $9.80
Total: $79.89 (http://www.boardzone.com/snowoutlet/shop/snowboard-bindings/avalanche/2005-av-5/index.cfm)
finally... boots! Now boots are considered the most important part... b/c u're on them the whole day... The should be snug, not loose or restraining. To tight and you're feet won't be comfortable, too loose and your legs will get tired easily. http://www.boardzone.com/productimages/80BOAIRWM5B.jpg (http://www.boardzone.com/snowoutlet/shop/snowboard-boots/airwalk/2005-hawk/index.cfm)
Price: $79.99
Tax: $11.20
Total: $91.19[/url]
Oh one thing about boardzone is that I think you get discounts for buying.. so I think u might get $20 off for buying this set before taxes. so... with that in mind.. it will be
Board: $149.00 Discount: $20.00
Bindings: $ 69.99 Subtotal: $278.98
Boots: $ 79.99 Ont. Taxes: $39.06

^^^^^
Or, you can always go and buy used equipment... anyway, I hope this helped!
