If this is not an amd x2 its a average price. If it is an x2 dual core, it's a great price.

your processor isnt even dual core

comparing to a AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800 which is about 30 dollars more included tax, you got ripped. Although your CPU is more than anyone would ever need, unless you do alot of encodings.

Intel Dual Core 820 2.8ghz < AMD 4000+ 64 bit tough

Sideways upgrade, the 4000+ is alot faster in single-threaded apps and most games, the 820 wins in multi-threaded apps like encoding.

Won't you also need a new motherboard too?

Average price..

NCIX has it for 400+ because it's not selling it anymore, so it's a special expensive order.

Infonec.ca, comparably has it for $159..

Not to mention you could have gotten it cheaper on BST forum.. I got mine (admittedly used one) there for $100.

If your current setup can use the new intel core2duo's, then you might as well go for intel.

Buying that AMD means you will have to have a motherboard and ram to support it.
