They shouldn't be allowed instore, but if you find a young impressionable csr you might get away with it.

Can you use Gift Cards as payment via phone?

Yes, the codes works when they enter it on the store computer, BUT they are not suppose to accept them. The coupons are for ONLINE or BY-PHONE only: http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Static/static_pages.asp?pagename=cprdeem&RefType=Exmplar

YMMV. Some store requires a physical coupon.

what's funny is some RFDers (in the past) just write down the code and expiry date on a piece of paper and the cashier accepted it...

everytime it makes me wonder how that worked out ... lol

good., I was wondering if you'd mentioned this here.

follow-up? has anybody else noticed that it's actually 20off100? I've only read another person in Ottawa say that...so I'm wondering if we're getting a lucky break on this one?

I'm always puzzled why system administrators., or engineers what have you will allow for such occurrences if the stores' policies specifically say it shouldn't happen.

I'm assuming there's no easy way to differentiate the purchasing software that online purchases use with those telephone reps use with those used in store...hence they All will accept the coupon code...but just 'shouldn't'.

cue tangent;
Same with how Rogers retention plans should result in you losing your corporate code...but astoundingly., if the rep KEEPS your company code the retention plan gets some hidden codes that with out the comp.code wouldn't pop up...so the question lies...if procedurally the code shouldn't be kept....WHY do they result in bonuses for the customer if they're kept...shouldn't the programmers never done this to begin with?

I sms it to my cell., and when I'm at the cash., whip out my THANG., and show it to the cashier all "innocently". :D

Nope.

As long as you meet the requirements of each coupon code (ie using this coupon + $30 off $200 code means making an order for $300) - you can use two codes (different codes of course) on one order.
