So, now that Amazing Race season 10 is done, lets discuss Amazing Race Asia here.
I won't be reading this forum for a little while since I have only watched 2 episodes so far.
There are 5 episodes out it seems.
Don't ask where you can get them because people aren't allowed to post torrent sites on this forum.
In general, I like the show, but, I am not overly impressed by the host. He seems to be trying too hard to replicate Phil...

Next week they're kinda re-doing a leg from TAR2. Same locations and challenges. There's only so much you can do in that country.
All the remaining teams are rather likable, which is more than I can say about TAR10.

There's also an Amazing Race Central Europe in the works, but they haven't gotten around to casting yet. But personally, I found the central/eastern European legs of TAR (like Hungary) rather dull.
I love how Howard and Sarhan are afraid of something new each week.
*Oh no snakes!
*Oh no heights!
*Oh no water!
*Oh no Roadblock!

Host: Aubrey and Jacqueline... you are team number 9
jacquiline: *giggles* Good!
Host: You are the last team to arrive
Girls: Oh... oh yeah..
Host: I'm sorry to tell you that you've been eliminated from the race
Girls: yeah..

OK episode this week. But they need to stop having Roadblocks so close to the Pit Stop, cuz teams basically finish in the order they complete the task.
This must have been a horrible leg for Sarhan... everything was height related...lol. If there's anymore height-related Roadblocks, the team is screwed, cuz Howard has already done most of the RBs.

I agree.. also having roadblock where everyone takes turns means that there is spacing between them and no time to catch up between finishing the bungee jump and getting to the pitstop.. the two girls had one ATV break down and it cost them the race because that meant they were last to the roadblock.

lol this amazing race is a lot more fun to watch than the US version.
the tasks they have to do seem more intensive and to add to that, the hot weather in asia.
you can't really predict who's going to be first in the leg because anything can happen in this race!!

I like this Asia edition so much more than the American one. The tasks are so much harder, and more interesting. Or maybe it's because they are types of things I'd like to do - swim with sharks, sky jump, elephant ride, walk over that bridge, the task in the shopping mall, snake pit, go karts... Compared to the American's "Go to this landmark to find your next clue."

I don't know if they're that much harder.... they've had interesting (and tough) tasks in recent seasons like Tokyo bike courier or those crazy rowing Detour choices in Vietnam.
The problem with the Asian season is that many tasks don't reflect the local culture in anyway. How is a wall rappel or go-karting representative of Malaysia? And they've already done three bungee related tasks in New Zealand already; the country has much more to offer than its stereotypical extreme-sports image. And in the last two legs, the tasks haven't been spaced out properly, leading to no chances for lead changes between the Roadblock and the Pit Stop.
The season IS great b/c a lot of the mactor teams have already been eliminated. It's mostly your normal joes literally taking an adventure of a lifetime... they're not using the Race for some PR stunt to boost their modeling or acting career. Just look at the way Riechen used his win on TAR4 to boost his modeling career and hook up with Lance Bass...lol.

The last episode was really good
But then again EVERY Indian leg is awesome because it really pushes teams to their boiling point.
Damn I love mango, but with all the food they ate, that must have been difficult to manage.
Can't wait for Andy's sneakiness to backfire on his team.

To duckdown.. it is airing on AXN in asia... however, you can find it in most of the usual places (don't ask where it can be found as posting links would be against forum rules)...
How many episodes will there be in total? Looks like most of the american versions run 12 or 13 episodes...

isn't Karma a *****?
Andy and Laura go from last to first and back to last on the 2nd half of the leg in India.
Go SanFran and M&Ms! It would be kinda weird if the white team beat all the remaining Asians.

 finally Andy and Laura gets eliminated! woot woot
now I just want that whiny Syeon to get out next, and the remaining teams I'm cheering for everyone because they're all fun people to watch.
I definitely like this Amazing Race Asia edition better than the original.

When I saw they were at an indoor ski hill I figured they could either be in Japan or Dubai. Turned out to be the latter.

Wow, Sandy really chowed down that brain. Poor Syeon though, that would've been me throwing it all up.
Can't wait for the finale. With such a normal teams like Andrew/Syeon and Joe Jer/Zabrina it'll be interesting to see if they can keep their leave over the Ox/Francesca.

Well the winners just pwned any TAR team, Asia or otherwise. Great end to a really good season. The Asian version was much better than the past 2 yrs of regular Amazing Race.
And the 2nd place team made one crucial faux-pas that cost them the Race. They weren't using their heads for that half-moment.
Don't believe JoeJer and Zabrina threw in that "Allan" key joke....
