Today, I see some Toshiba discontinue models on clearance price. I got a P100-SD8.
It's 17" widescreen, T2500 (Core Duo), 2G 667Mhz DDR, Go 7900GS, 120G 5400 RPM, clearance price is $1499.99, they only have a demo one left, so after some talk, I got it for $1299.99 plus a free MS LifeCam NX-6000, I think it's a good price if you need a powerful gaming/entertainment machine.
There are also several other lower models on clearance. The models available on clearance are probably store specific, but worth a look.
