no, most retailers have a clause in their pricematching policy excluding 1 day sales, limited quantities etc...

Funny I asked 3 different sales people at BB and I recieved 3 similar but vague responses.

I asked If I buy this TV right now and I come back on boxing day for a PM they said no on boxing day but untill Jan 8th you are safe, which was a vague answer.

When I bought my Sharp on Thursday, the sales person specifically said if it goes cheaper on Boxing Day anywhere I can Price Match it

If they lied then I can just take this one back and buy it at the new place.

I would like to know as well.

My feeling is that Boxing Day sales are Limited Time Clearance Sales to Future Shop and they would not Price Match - even itself.

There will be NO price matching at best buy, NOR will there be ANY returns processed on boxing day.

Sales people probably lied to you to get the sale, but there is no price matching on one day sales, limited quanity, while supplies last, etc... etc... in other words no boxing day flyers will be matched.

Best Buy will not match its sales in the flyer had you purchased the item prior to boxing day

The only way to do it is to buy the item on boxing day then take it back with the original earlier receipt for a refund (ie return your original item as you are allowed to do in many stores.)

I did it 3 years ago at Futureshop for an Xbox... a real pain but I got it. Took over 2 hours

Staples will not price match during boxing week.... because most items are limited quantity and every item is a doorcrasher at most major retailers, and the PM policy states no price matching during Boxing Week so there is no PM'ing... sorry guys

um... i'd highly doubt "ANYWHERE"...

you need to confirm that w/ a SM/MOD/supervisor. i'd take whatever a salesperson says w/ a grain of salt.

it's doubtful already that they'd PM their own boxing day prices (i.e. buy now, return later for PM), so PMing against other retailer's boxing day prices is even less likely (esp. if competitor has 1-day only deals)

^there you go... key word is *most*

not "all" items are ltd qty/doorcrasher. ;)

actually, no... can you plz point out to me where FS/BB/stooples' PM policy says explicitly "no PMing on boxing day/wk" :?:

i'm sure you won't find it :cheesygri

i'd say PMing is a big YMMV... just hope for the best, but do expect the worst.
