Great styling that's pretty much a clone of the G35. Interior still looks cheap though. I drive a 2003 Accord Coupe - the exterior styling on the Altima is way better but the interior is worse.

Both of the 2008 altima versions look real nice in photos. Hope to get a good look at them in person sometime.

I liked the old model better. This one looks like it has a Toyota Yaris inspired front end and Hyundai Tiburon inspired rear. Yuck and Yuck.

What about the Infiniti G35?
This car looks similar.
I think the Altima's interior looks good also.

i like how altima has side blinker on the side mirrors gives it very upscale look like bmw.

this is a great looking car, and definitely better in both specs/looks than the fugly accord coupe.

nissan will be probably replacing the g35c with the soon-to-be-released skyline.

well they did a real good job with the rear but i think they should have changed the front a slight bit between the 4dr and 2dr.

Maybe it's just the angle, but I notice a huge gap between the front wheel and the fender. I certainly hope it is just the angle the picture was taken at, or else that huge gap will ruin the look of the car. I saw the new Sentra today, the gap between its wheel and fender is probably the same as that on the Titan.

Sentra's getting bigger because Nissan's going to be releasing a sedan version of the Versa to compete with the Toyota Yaris / Chevy Aveo sedans.

Any other thoughts on this car? Is the 3.5 version worth the extra money? This will be my first new car purchase and I love this car but I want to get it at the best price. Any help is appreciated. thanks.?

I actually went and saw this car today at the dealership, and DAM. This car is soooo nice. i saw a Black 3.5 SE with black interior. It was very nice inside and out. The only problem i had was trying to figure out how to put an after market 7" navi system in it. One more thing... 6% financing

I went to the Nissan dealership today and am really considering getting this car. From what I've been hearing and reading, it is really hard to get a better price than what's quoted on their website since it just came out and there is limited availability. Anybody have any advice as to getting a better price or getting some free extras.

They had a red one back in January at the CIAS (Autoshow) in Toronto.
I really thought it looked nice inside and out. It has a nicer line than the sedan by far.

You won't get any discounts in the foreseeable future..this car will sell like hotcakes.

I doubt it, as much as it's a nice looking car, it just doesn't fit the need of the market. If people wanted coupes, we'd see a whole lot more Accord coupes and Solara on the road. The Altima Coupe is bound to compete in that tiny market because honestly, it's far from being a true sports car.

altima coupe if u wanna look fast......not really a true sports car..

the imprez if you wanna good handling car....and loads of aftermarket support

simple to get power of of them.....TONS AND TONS of mods...

altima if you wanna just stick with mainly stock stuff...maybe only rims and a drop.....

I've test driven both the 3.5SE and 2.5S...

the 3.5SE of course has a lot more power, picks up a lot faster, and is tighter on the turns. That being said, the 2.5S is still a pretty good ride...hopefully will be getting one soon myself!!!

I ordered the 2.5, with the premium package (leather seats, bose audio system, bluetooth handsfree, dualzone climate control), in red, with black interior.

yeah, I'll try to do that sometime as well. It is quite small, but I think I should be able to fit 2 sets of golf clubs in there. Also, I'm moving up from a 2005 Toyota Echo, so to me, it's an upgrade in terms of trunk space (actually it's an upgrade in terms of everything!!!)

hey Jeff146...I've been reading the 2008 lancer thread on this forum as well, and saw you post a lot there. I actually was looking at a lancer as well before I decided on the altima coupe...I actually had committed 100% (in my mind) to getting the lancer, and then last week I went to a bunch of auto dealerships near my office (at the dixie automall), thinking to test drive some of the other cars in the lancer's class. I test drove the mazda3, and after trying that I still wanted the lancer. Then I went to Nissan, thinking I'd try out the Sentra, and as soon as I walked in, I noticed this car. I thought it was way out of my price range, but when I asked the salesman how much it was, he said it started at around $27k...and I was thinking...well, a fully loaded lancer is about $26k...so for an extra 1k to get this car? seems worth it...it's funny, I actually ended up getting the exact same one that they had in the showroom when I saw it the first time.

so I ended up going with this instead of the lancer, but I did get the premium package, so in total (after tax/freight), the cash price was $36.5k (but I'm actually leasing it)...I was able to get about $1500 off the MSRP...I went a little bit over my intended budget, but, like mickey d's..."I'M LOVIN IT"

Jeff146

It's looking good and definitely a good choice.

I was also looking at getting the Altima Coupe also but when I looked at the price I thought that it would be out of my price range.

That's definitely a pretty good price with leather seats and all.

How do you like it so far?

see, the thing is, if you're looking at getting a fully loaded lancer, it's not that much more to move up to the altima coupe. I paid more cuz I got the leather option with the bose sound system...but if you don't move up to that, you're only paying about $1500 more to move up to the altima coupe from the lancer, and with pretty much all the same features...so I think it's worth it.

I really love it so far, I just cleared the breakin period recently, so now I can finally start to push it more!

theurbancanadian, I'm probably not gonna change the rims...the only thing I might do is to get winter tires when winter comes, so that I don't damage the rims I have on it now, I think the rims that are on it now match it nicely...

heh, I meant that if your battery or starter were to die... can you hold the clutch in while in gear and push the car to get it started, since the car senses your key you can't traditionaly put a key into the ignition to unlock the steering.

I absolutely love the proximity entry and ignition button...never have to take my keys out of my pocket! The Altima Coupe is in an entirely different class than the Civic coupe...it's aimed more at the Accord Coupe, it's much better than a Civic coupe IMHO.

2.5 Premium metallic black. Had to wait this long so I could get employee pricing and I'm not an employee :D.

P.S Car is freaking awesome. I loved the Pearl White model I saw with the beige leather. The red is pretty too. Everyone I know or met that has the coupe has it in blue so I would never get that colour but yeah, this car is freaking awesome.

I know. I can't wait for it, I keep telling myself BE PATIENCE.

My sister's first choice is Blue (2.5 SE, CVT & Premium) and I told them why would we want two of them in the drive way.

Trust me, I waited 2 months to get mine but it was well worth the wait. I thought this car was for your sister :D I guess you plan on taking it "from time to time" ;)

I read that 401-Dixie Nissan is good and it shows! My sister's 2.5S is in and my 3.5 SE will be in this Wednesday!!!

Here's the 2.5S. Her third choice in color. LOL

i only test drove the sedan, not the coupe. i notice that on the sedan, the glove department is so LOW to the ground and the brakes too sensitive. one little tad of my toe and it comes to a stop so fast maybe cuz its new. anywho i plan on test driving the coupe this week. any difference from the coupe and sedan other than looks ? and two doors ? i notice the mirrors are so small and the window is so small in the back.
thanks

Thinking of Leasing a 2.5 Altima Coupe

Do I need to buy winter wires or will i be okay as there is no traction control on the 2.5.

Overall performance in the car

What should i worry about. Any minor details

Umm? The Smart key can be screwed up by your cellphone. Um, there might be an oil consumption issue. Not much else I can say...

i encourage ppl to test drive it before wanting one. it was very very vey dissapointing to say the least. i test drove the 3.5 SE and it dissapointed in every single way, except maybe the linear power.

Did you guys get any sort of rebate (from Nissan's fair deal program) for those Altima Coupes?
