In the new Canadian Tire flyer (Dec 28), they have this years Goodyear Nordic model on for 25% off. I've have them on my car for the last 2 months and they perform good in deep snow and even better on ice (Edm had a huge dump in Nov).
This tire is studdable ($18 each @ CT).
I'm thinking of getting another set for my 2wd truck. Has anyone tried studding these tires? How would they compare to the NOKIAN HAKKAPELIITTA2 (http://www.nokiantyres.com/passengercars_product_en?product=610494&name=NOKIAN+HAKKAPELIITTA+2)?

I know CTs Goodyear Nordic is similar to the Goodyear UltraGrip 500/ (http://eu.goodyear.com/home_en/tires/repository/UltraGrip500/index.jsp?page=benefits) but I doubt they would use the same type of studs that our profiled on Goodyears' EU website. Would the studs just fall out over time?
