I spent a couple of days thinking about this one, since I tend to go to LANs a lot and a gaming laptop is high on my wishlist. But I have a shuttle case and a spare monitor at my friend's house, so really isn't too big a deal to carry around.

Without further ado, the model is an Acer Aspire 5672 which is one of the best bang for the bucks as far as gaming laptops go. Retail is usually ~$1500, however this one is "reconditioned" by Acer which may explain the low price. Also, it is a cash discounted price.

Aspire 5672WLMi-MCE w/ Core Duo T2300E, 1GB, 120GB, DVD+/-RW, 15.4in WXGA, Radeon X1600, 802.11b/g, Bluetooth, WinXP MCE
