FS is getting the first ever released HDDVD, BRD combo drive March 2nd. $1500. Looks nice, rrrrreal nice :)

Or you could wait 3 months and pay $500 for another player that does the same thing?

oh man...i want it so bad!!! But thats just a lot of $$$!It is a lot of money but IMO its a win win situation. I would rather get that instead of say a standalone HDDVD or BRD player because if one format does fail...at least you have the other to fall back on. Plus enjoy the best of both worlds.:cheesygri

Like those people who bought a BETA/VHS VCR in 1984. Man I bet they thought that was a wise choice!

Yeah, but for that price, you can buy an HD DVD *and* a Blu-ray player. Not sure if that LG is even 100% HD DVD compliant.
I like the minimal look of the player (the front view). Reminds me of those Dual CS series turntables :).
