I don't know if anyone posted this before, but I tried a search and didn't see anything on it.
Anyway, the receiver to use your wireless Xbox 360 controllers on your PC is only $19.99 at FS and BB. You can also use other accessories like the wireless headset. Up to 4 accessories at a time. I find the 360 controller superior to any PC specific controller.

BE WARNED - this thing does NOT play nicely with Logitech peripherals. I ripped my hair out for a long time to get it to work with my G15 keyboard (solution - plug the receiver into my Dell monitor's USB ports). There's reports of other peripherals - often wireless keyboards/mice - that screw it up as well.
It works great now that I finally got it working, but MS *really* dropped the ball on compatability with this.

Does anyone know if I need more than one of these for multiple controllers, or if just one would work?

you just need one. 4 controllers will work at a time

When will members realize that regular price isn't a hot deal?

It works just fine with my Logitech wireless mouse.

well it's hot for me. i was considering buying a wired refurbed 360 controller for $29.99. now i don't have to. I get to enjoy wireless for all of my 4 controllers for $19.99. The wireless controller for the PC is $69.99.
Regular price can be hot. If people were posting Wii availability during X-mas time for regular price, that would be hot. Regular price and "hot" are not mutually exclusive.

While the regular price of the wireless adapter is aguably not a hot deal, I think the item itself is a steal at the price point they sell at, given what you get out of it. I've been lucky that it works fine with my PC, thought there are many reports that you may have trouble if you're using Vista. Also note that the autoupdater that comes with the software seems to be broken and that are newer drivers on MS' website which you should download right away.
If you have an X360 and you regularly PC game, this tiny device is a great bonus.
