Does anyone know where I can buy beaver tails in the Toronto/Markham area? Preferably closer to uptown scarborough/markham. I had them once in Mont. Tremblant and they were amazing. I haven't found a place here that has them.
For anyone who doesn't know what they are, they're not real beaver tails. It's a dessert, kinda like a funnel cake except you can have a lot more toppings on it and it's big and flat.

On a similar note, does anyone know if they sell funnel cakes anywhere other than at Wonderland? I love these things, and I hate their prices!

East Side Mario's has them for like 4.99 or something. Mind you, the funnel cakes are made from frozen batches, not freshly made as you see in Wonderland.

It's just a fried pastry sprinkled with toppings like cinnamon. Simple but delicious.

Philthy McNastys has a funnel cake desert, They're pretty good, although probably frozen like East Side's

keeping a batter like this 'frozen' is pretty pathetic
its just like any regular donut/other deepfried batter except its sweetened with icing sugar and piped into a vat of oil..
tasty, of course... unique? not in the least...

Woodbine Centre has them. Located where the rides are. They make them fresh and are really good.

I've tried almost all of the flavours and I'd say the maple walnut is by far the best. I think the zoo location doesn't offer this flavour, but they have it in Blue Mountain.
The dough is whole wheat actually (but then it's fried so it can't really be good for you -- but then again how many healthy things taste good??)!
Personally I would stay away from the cheese? one...they didn't melt it and it tastied kinda nasty...

My favourite is with maple syrup and chocolate sauce.. miss is so much. Ottawa ones are the best !!!
I was trying to find this thing at CNE but couldn't. They have funnel cake though.
Just a side note, some place called "Beaver Tail" "Elephant Ear" instead.
