Is it necessary to have HomeProtector Insurance?

I had home protector insurance but cancelled it after I found out by going to an insurance agent you can get more insurance for alot less money than rbc charges. Plus your guaranteed to be protected if anything should happen.

Hmmm interesting I have mine through PC financial.....I am going to check out what my home insurance company can provide me with.

Most banks don't underwrite the policy until you have a loss/claim, while "real" insurance companies will underwrite the policy at the beginning (which is better for you, the customer).
