Do you have any pics of your stain? I keep hearing about how this can happen to natural stone but have never seen what it looks like. This is becoming more of a concern as we are planning our new kitchen.

What kind of stain do you have?
I had a stain consisting of a curved line created by a red wine bottle on a white quartz surface. It was about 4 inches long.
I used some drugstore hydrogen peroxide and with a cotton swab just rubbed it for about 5 minutes. The stain came out.

mine is a sauce bowl stain, don't remember which sauce it was, but I have black/dark granite, and i see 2 bowl rings of discolour (lighter black) on my granite, yes the website suggested hydrogen peroxide but they suggest higher concentrate ones, ie hair salon product. I know I can get rid of it but just don't know how. and don't want to make things worst so if any expert out there can suggest anything let me know.

If it is light stain on a dark surface I would think it has to be in the surface sealant rather than the stone itself.

The sealer that we use has actually come straight from Italy. Its called "ANTIMACCHIA", per marmi ganiti e pietre. Translation: Antimacchia antispot for marble granite and stone. The manufacturer is FIDAL S.R.L. Apparently, this 1L bottle costs about $150 as per our installer.
