They're typical "Tony's Used Car Lot". Moderately shady, but not more than other outlets in this part of the city (where used car lots are dime a dozen).

Yes, I'm interested to know as well. Anyone bought a vehicle from them?

We bought a vehicle from there. The vehicles themselves are basically a crap shoot. Who knows what you will get. The problem is (like most used car dealers), the sales people are liars. They told us all their vehicles are off-lease with only 1 owner. The problem is most of the vehicles are 2003 with over 100,000 kms. That's one hell of a lease! Plus most have minor damage and are dirty. So if they were a "1 owner off-lease vehicle", they went way over there lease terms in years and mileage and would have paid a fortune in additional damage..... so lie #1. Lie #2 is that all their vehicles come with a powertrain warranty.... the problem is later when you call to activate it you find out that a number of the engine components are not covered and if you have a 4X4 or AWD the tranny isn't covered (unless you pay additional). Lie #3 is that it will only cost $15 to activate the warranty (it's actually $50 and is subject to change). Lie #4 is that they will tell you that they warrant the vehicle for 36 days... if you have ANY problems at all, just bring it back. ACTUALLY, they only warrant safety issues for 36 days (which they are required by law to do). Additionally, they safety and e-test the vehicles... when I picked up my a headlight didn't work (so that wouldn't pass safety), and on the ride home the check engine light came on (I need an Oxygen sensor - so it also wouldn't pass emissions right now). Long story short... insist on taking the vehicle to your own mechanic to have it looked at - they don't know anything about their vehicles... only the year and mileage and don't believe a word they say. I would not buy another vehicle from them and I would not recommend them either. Hope that helps

I bought a minivan from there, circa 2004. I agree with the previous poster, they just buy cars at auction and sell them piecemeal, as do a thousand other companies out there. I would not trust a word they are saying, as I would not trust a thousand other used cars sellers. Do your research on the car (VIN).

I tend to agree that used car dealers basically buy cheap cars, slap lipstick on the proverbial pig and take them to market. I have seen some pretty awful vehicles for sale from use car dealers, particular those operating in the Downsview area. Many are definitely salvage vehicles with paint jobs that make Maaco look like a professional auto body shop.

Some used car dealers don't even see the cars they get from auctions. Many auctions take place online and many cars are bought in the US and shipped over. Never believe anything a used car dealer tells you since they have no clue on the car's history and many make up stuff on the fly. As stated above, do your own DD. Buyer beware.

It is bad enough that they sell junk, but what is really awful is that they lie about it. I never ever came across a salesman who is simply honest about what they are selling. To me it is okay to sell junk, you just say so. There is a market for everything. Price it and advertise it accordingly and I think the buying public will generally understand.
