UPDATE 06/21/07:

BB will have this on sale again starting the 22nd of June... same price as last time around

so same PM/coupon deal :D

-------------

here we go again! (http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=446090) :D

starting TOMORROW, BB will be selling their Viewsonic VX2235WM 22" WS LCD for $350 (same price again), reg. $450; stooples online is currently selling the same for $380!

note: if you checkout ^that thread, you'll notice the other past deals on the Viewsonic VX2235WM...
not much diff. f/ the last PM/coupon deal, except that there are better coupons avail. now (thx to S.Chan's stooples coupon thread (http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=389024)) hence the slightly cheaper price than last time... :D

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

so if u want it:

INSTORE (YMMV whether or not coupons will work)
1) go to stooples B&M instore TODAY and buy the item at REGULAR price
2) return to stooples B&M on FRIDAY w/ FS/BB flyer or webpage printout in hand and claim a PM on item
3) Do NOT try to PM this before the sale takes effect on FRIDAY! Follow the above directions!

ONLINE (yes, the online coupons will work)
1) buy the item online at stooples for FULL PRICE TODAY (and use any applicable coupon(s) if u have purchase subtotal over $200 or $400)
2) u should receive an order confirmation e-mail with details about ur order and delivery info
3) send stooples an online PM form (http://www.staples.ca/ENG/CSR/csr_contact_us.asp?CSREmailAddress=bd%2Epricematch %40orders%2Estaples%2Ecom&Subject=Price+Match&OrderRequiredFlag=No) TOMORROW morning (as early as possible) and request for a PM; fill in all necessary contact info, and under the Comment text box, fill in with stoople's item description & item #, followed by competitor's description, webID and with a weblink if possible, including their price.
4) u should receive another e-mail stating that "We have credited your debit/credit card in the amount of $XX.XX"

OR

1) send them an e-mail for a price quote via an online PM form (http://www.staples.ca/ENG/CSR/csr_contact_us.asp?CSREmailAddress=bd%2Epricematch %40orders%2Estaples%2Ecom&Subject=Price+Match&OrderRequiredFlag=No); fill out all the ncessary contact info, and under the Comment text box, fill in with stoople's item description & item #, followed by competitor's description, webID and with a weblink if possible, including their price.
2) after submitting PM request, if PM is successful, u should receive an e-mail reply with "Price Match Confirmation quote #".
3) IF u get the PM confirmation quote #, immediately go to stooples.ca and buy the item (subject to availability) at the regular stooples' price.
4) u should receive an order confirmation e-mail with details about ur order and delivery info; REPLY to that e-mail with ur PM confirmation quote # and u should receive yet another e-mail stating that "We have credited your debit/credit card in the amount of $XX.XX"

ANYONE referring to the item as not reflective of the "sale price" now should consider themselves RFD newbies worthy of ridicule!!!

For anyone who's interested in Mint's method of PMing, here's the info FYI:
Steps to Online Price Matching at Staples (http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65374)

again, it doesn't matter which method u choose, just choose 1 that suits u and u feel is the easiest and most comfortable with....

BB ($350): ViewSonic 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor (VX2235WM) (http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10079955)

stooples ($380): Viewsonic VX2235wm LCD Monitor, 22" Wide (http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatIds=&webid=665552)

http://www.staples.ca/ENG/images/products/ca665552_1_enl.jpghttp://www.bestbuy.ca/multimedia/products/large/10079955.jpg

....so after a PM, the PM price is ~$347 + tax!

BUT, notice that the after-PM price is still >$300, which means you still qualify use a $30off150 and a $20off150 coupon! (see section below).... so assuming you can PM + use coupons, that drops it down to ~$297 + tax!!!

Which one is better? This one or Dell UltraSharp 2007WFP?

If you PM Staples online, will they charge you BB's shipping cost? As far as I have experienced, I can't use the coupon codes in store. Thanks.

EDIT: Next day shipping to Calgary is $44.95....which kind of kills the deal if Stooples tacks that on the total after PM price.

Is this monitor better than the 22" Dell monitor on sale for $279?

Let's say I buy now at Stooples with 20+30 coupons, that would bring the price down to $329.95, which is lower than the BB $350 deal... Would Stooples still PM ?

If you try to PM online, business depot will just add a ghey $15 shipping surcharge (due to their claim that Bestbuy charges shipping) on top of the pmed price...this is happened to me several times now.

Now i'm wondering, is it possible to PM successfully in store without that nonsense shipping charge? the only problem is that the online coupons will be become void

as you can see pm is getting more difficult

Even with a $15 shipping surchage, the price still looks good ($297+$15+taxes) :?:

For that price, why not get the Dell and save a few bucks for similar quality?:-0 I love Viewsonic but i rate Dell/Samsung just has highly so for me, it would be cheaper of the three whenever i buy a monitor.

I'm still mad at myself for missing the UltraSharp deal at $299 two days ago

Do Dell ever have more than one monitor (or anything else) in their 10 Days Deals? If so, I could wait a little bit.

yes, PM online they'll charge you BB's NDD cost

as for using coupon codes instore, big YMMV.

doesn't hurt to try tho... i've heard of odd cases of success in the past.

and try diff. stores if possible.

EDIT: Next day shipping to Calgary is $44.95....which kind of kills the deal if Stooples tacks that on the total after PM price.

yes if stooples tacks on NDD charges on BB's price, then of course no deal.

PM calcs do not take into acct coupons.

so it's stooples' $380 price vs. BB's $350

let's keep in mind that the $15 flat s/h tack-on is ONLY if stooples can't readily find the NDD charges on competitor's website.

stooples has become a lot smarter it seems as they actually go AFA trying to checkout online at FS/BB.ca and see how much the expedited s/h costs if you were to buy it online f/ FS/BB.ca...
and then use THAT s/h charge to tack onto FS/BB's sale price before doing PM calcs....

Now i'm wondering, is it possible to PM successfully in store without that nonsense shipping charge? the only problem is that the online coupons will be become void

s/h charges aren't considered when PMing instore.

and the coupons - it's not that they become void, but rather the most impt part is whether or not they'd honour the coupons.

as you can see pm is getting more difficult

if FS/BB still offered free s/h, PMing w/ stooples online would be so much easier / hassle-free....

Is it still true that "ALL 22" monitors use the same panel, just repackaged differently?"

I have been using this monitor since moving from my 21" CRT. I bought it for roughly 400 awhile back. Never bothered using the speakers since i figured they were junk, the monitor isn't bad but some reviews say it's performance is far from stellar. Overall i'm happy with mine.
