just got emissions test, how long till i can go to a kios? i got mine emissions today, how long till i can go to a kiosk and get my sticker. I went right after i got my emissions, but it dosn't know i got my emisions, so the kiosk didn't work. thanks.

i just did the emission today and went about an hour after and everything was fine...

Depending on where you got your emissions done, it should be entered into the system as soon as the test is completed so you should of been fine to go get your sticker. I did mine the same day as well and I was fine when I went to the kiosk. If not you should at least have your emissions test number on your work order to enter it into the system. If not check back with where you got your test done at to see what's up.

when did you get it done??? maybe if its after 4 or 5 the system doesnt update that late in the day??? i dont know exactly how it works but you should be fine tomorrow i would think>??

Check the emissions report to make sure the technician entered the correct info. i.e. VIN #.

If they screwed it up you'll have to go back and get it retested (free of charge of course) since the info is electronically transmitted to the ministry. (Atleast it is in Ontario)

Kiosk should know immediately and I can't remember now but I think it even asks you to input your test number on the barcode at the top (or maybe that's how it gets to know--by looking that info up once you enter the test info?).

Anyway I know the one time I did use the Kiosk and had an e-test I'm pretty sure I did it all in one day. In fact in the timeframe it took to get from where I got the test to the kiosk! (Less than 10 mins.)

Got the test done, went to the kiosk, and got my sticker. And I think I did it all on the day my sticker expired, LOL.

I did my emission test in the morning at Cdn. Tire
did the sticker renewal online, right after I get home
got the sticker in mail 1~2 weeks later, no kiosk involved

well, i got the test done at like 5:45. and went to the mall at 7:00, and it gave me some emissions error message.
